Unique converted apartment on 4 levels in a historic 'Collcutt' designed building 5 minutes walk from Boscombe pier, beach and shopping with a great range of shops cafes and restaurants.
Impressive entrance hall inside the flat, 4.5metre high ceiling with gilded Corinthian style columns and original decorative plasterwork panels; a large crystal chandelier, a pool table and a study area on mezzanine that overlooks the hall.
Up a wide staircase to the large open plan Lounge/kitchen/dining area with sea glimpses. A small utility room houses the washing and drying machines as well as a wine chiller and freezer.
Bedroom 3 is on this level with a sky light and 'secret' stairs down to an en-suite shower room.
There are also french doors that open out onto a bridge that takes you to the large sun terrace with a large circular table and plenty of chairs.
2 Bedrooms downstairs with en-suite bathrooms, both with 'his and hers' basins and a two person bath in the main one.
Stairs from the main hall take you down to the Media room with reclining leather sofas to view DVDs or your own computer display (via HDMI) on an 86" projector screen and surround sound system.
There is wireless internet that covers most of the flat.
Garage under the sun terrace is used for storing bikes etc..

Bournemouth town centre is just over one mile away and can be accessed via bus, taxi or a lovely clifftop or beach walk.

Interaction with Guests
We do not live on site so personal interaction will be limited other than by phone/email.
Boscombe has a unique character and charm, slightly more bohemian and less hectic than Bournemouth centre but lots of restaurants, cafe's etc and lovely walks along the beach or cliff tops.
Buses are less than 5 minutes walk and the train station is just over a mile away. Taxis are cheap and plentiful if you fancy shopping or a night out in 'the big smoke' of Bournemouth!
Other Things to Note
We will often use a key safe located inside the building, beside the front door to give you access; so checkin/out can be very flexible.
The carpet is cream so all shoes are left at the entrance doors!
This is a strictly NO SMOKING property.
The communal corridors have high ceilings which are beautiful but carry any excessive noise so respect for other residents is essential.
Due to the proximity of our neighbours BBQs are not allowed on our patio however there is a BBQ area on the patio in the communal gardens that you are welcome to use should you wish.
We do supply bath towels and laundry (that's what the cleaning charge covers). If you fancy a dip then please bring beach towels with you.
The flat is our family retreat and indulgence so we make no apology for being fussy as to who we rent it to, but if you appreciate historic buildings and are respectful of others possessions then get in touch!
Booked Burlington Mansions apartment as a 4 day base whilst myself and colleagues attended a conference in Bournemouth.
Impressed with the efficiency of communications and information prior to our stay and Jim contacted us a couple of times to ask if everything was OK and if we needed any help.
Flat is really stunning and was clean and well presented - the photos are good but it has even more of a wow factor in real life.
It has a superb range of kitchen equipment and gadgets, beds were very comfy with quality linen and pillows.
We had a lovely time and would recommend to family/friends.
Absolutely loved this place, it’s a great space and the photos do not do it justice. Jim was easy to deal with and was very accommodating. The cinima room was a great place to relax.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Bournemouth. Will be back.
3 adults and 4 children have just had the most wonderful week staying in Jim's fantastic apartment. It's is very clearly well looked after and Jim leaves nothing to chance with very clear instructions. Perfectly equipped to host large groups with an amazing cinema room for the evenings or rainy days. Perfectly located with a short walk to Boscombe beach or easy access to Bournemouth and Poole plus the New Forest is only a short drive away - highly recommended.
The apartment was great - very spacious, clean and well equipped and located just five minutes from the beach. It was perfect for our party of four adults and four children. The home cinema room in particular was a hit with everyone, as was the sun terrace. It was also great to have a separate utility room. Jim the host was helpful and efficient, answering all my queries promptly and providing useful information about the local area. All in all a great stay in a great apartment which I would recommend to anyone (unless you have mobility problems as there are a lot of staircases).
This apartment was the perfect base for the preparations and stay for our daughter's wedding in Bournemouth. Communication in making the booking was excellent and the apartment is more spacious than it looks in the photographs. We would definitely stay here again when visiting again.
