JoAnn's place was beautiful, spacious and sunny. Right on the water the bed was comfy and she had fresh flowers there to greet us. Convenient to freeway and all points Bay Area
JoAnn responded promptly and very nicely to my inquiries prior to our arrival. The location was perfect for us and the bedroom was spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom also was very clean and well lit with natural light. We had few contacts with the host and her house mate Kat ( I hope I do not spell her name incorrectly ) since we were out most of the time but they have been very pleasant and accommodating. The house / room was very quiet though not too far from the main road and freeway.
Another high point was the deck where we could relax and enjoy the morning sun and breeze. It also offered a nice view of the water inlet with the sail boats.
JoAnn has a little dog which was a bit temperamental. She did not enjoy being petted and snarled at us once. Nothing serious though.
We appreciated that JoAnn offered us coffee in the morning.
WiFi was available , which I did not expect. There was no cable TV and the unit was an old fashioned tube but we did not care much about watching TV.
We appreciated the fact that JoAnn took precautions with smoking when we were around .
Overall a very good first experience with BnB on our part. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit San Rafael.
JoAnn was very accommodating and friendly. The place is surrounded by water and is located in a marina. She has a great smile and a very nice sense of humour. It was a pleasure to have spent time in her lovely place. Her dog Una is very cute too. The location is very strategic with the Montecito mall which is at walking distance.
JoAnn was a gracious host who stayed up quite late to hand us the keys on arrival. The house was even better than what you can see in the photos. Amazing location and super clean. Thank you! Would definitely visit again.
The room and bathroom were very clean and there were lovely flowers in the room. The king size bed was comfortable. The common area was clean, if not particularly tidy, with the exception of the kitchen, which bordered on gross at times. The dog definitely barked every time someone came in and followed you around the house and out on the balcony huffing. They do smoke outside on the balcony and once the door was left open, letting smoke drift into the house, but that did not happen again after we asked them to always close the door. If you want a private room and bath and don't plan on spending much time in common area, this is a very reasonable place.
This is for my parents in law, they love this place, it is comfortable and very clean. host is also very helpful.
