I was very impressed as Margaret had to wait for me to arrive at 11.30pm. She made me very welcome. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to stay in Margarets little house attached to the main building which was very comfortable.
Very nice B&B. Margaret's directions were excellent and when I arrived I received a warm and friendly welcome. The room was enormous and I was able to starfish comfortably in the huge bed! Nice quiet location off the main road meant I got a great night's sleep and Margaret's legendary full Irish breakfast is worth the trip alone. I would recommend a stay here to anyone and look forward to my next visit. As ever in Ireland, it's the host that makes the difference. Great value. Thank you Margaret.
This is a very nice B and B. Margaret came to find us when we got a bit lost and couldn't quite find her (sat nav sends you left at the top of Richmond Hill, but actually it's right, just opposite the school). We then had tea and cake on arrival, and she even gave us a lift into town. The next day we had a lovely breakfast served late morning at a time convenient to us, rather than the usual set times that many B and Bs make you adhere to. Nice spacious rooms and bathrooms too. Very good value for money.
Margaret was very accommodating. Her house was lovely with great furniture. We were very comfortable. She fixed us an enormous breakfast. Gave a great ideas of where to go in Cork and around the area. We had a bit of trouble finding the house. But once we did it was great. She also recommended a great restaurant for dinner that was close by.
Staying with Margaret at her beautiful BnB exceeded any expectations I could ever have about the ideal host. She is one of the most lovely, generous people I've come across in a long time. Her house and the room I stayed in were exceptional. Very cosy, warm and bright. The breakfasts Margaret cooked were fantastic also. When I arrived in Fermoy I told Margaret that I was tracking down some of my ancestral history in Fermoy and she helped me so much in my endeavours, we even managed to find and visit the house my ancestors lived in. This was something that really meant a lot to me and likely would never have come about if not for Margaret's kindness and generosity. She is a wonderful conversationalist and really does run a very impressive bed and breakfast that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks heaps again Margaret.
