Our stay in sf was really beautiful. Alex and barbara had been sooo nice to us. We have seen many things and have saved a lot of money because they have had a lot of usefull informations. The troys have been at home during our visit. So sometimes it was a little crazy with the two little children. But both of them are very sweet and intelligent so we've enjoyed it.
The ampartment is in an area of sf where the natives live. So it's more quiet than downtown. Also it's chaeper to buy food or go dinning and it's also safe. But you have to use the bus nearly every day. But that no problem. The troys can tell you how it works so that you can save a lot of money.
The apartment itself is a nice place so stay. The house is more than 100 years old. So you are in a very charming place with historie and character. If you used to sleep at hilton you may say it's old. We'd loved it.
I could say a thousand positiv things more!
Thank you for all and you are really welcome guests if you ever joining our hometown!
I loved the place. It was clean, light and comfortable, and equipped with guide books and helpful suggestions. The location was ideal for me- many good restaurants in easy walking distance good access to public transit. I even found parking. I highly recommend it.
Alex, is very nice in every way, so glad that we picked his house to stay, it was on a very relaxed and nice neighborhood. The house is lovely and he even let us stay at the master bedroom
Alex was so kind asking if we needed anything even though he wasn't at the house. He has so gentle explaining us where to go and how to get there, what to see and visit.
Also he was so flexible about our arrival time, that was very important for us since we were coming from Oakland Airport.
Alex is the best host we could possibly have, nice and friendly, knows the city inside out. But be aware when Alex tells you to walk somewhere, because he walks like an hour to work (ONE WAY) everyday so his concept of distant might be very different to yours ^_^
Location is pretty good, bus 38 (Geary), 1 (California), 2 (Clement) all go to downtown in about 15 to 20 mins. The neighborhood is nice and full of great restaurants especially Asian cuisines. Alamo sq, Haight St and Golden gate park are also nearby so don't miss them.
We will definitely come back again and highly recommend Alex's place to everybody!
My boyfriend and I were over from England and stayed with Alex for two nights, and had a fantastic weekend! The room was spacious and cosy and the location of the apartment could not have been better. A string of wonderful restaurants were a block away and we were able to walk to Presidio Park, which had an amazing view of the Golden Gate bridge. Nearby is easy access to public transport to Haight-Ashbury and other touristy areas. Alex was helpful, welcoming and has a fantastic knowledge of the best places to go and the places to avoid. He will prepare you for your journey into one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a great breakfast and cup of espresso! We did not know what to expect from our first stay with Airbnb but Alex made the start to our holiday amazing and I could not thank him more.I would definitely recommend him as a host!
