The Museo d’Arte is also an easy stroll away. Perfect for sightseeing too, guests are conveniently placed just 9 minutes’ drive / taxi ride away from the city centre.

The fashionable lake capital is home to a large family-friendly Lido, a tennis and golf club and timeless boating opportunities; as well as a plethora of designer shops, cultural attractions, world restaurants, stylish bars and modern casinos. The apartment is also within easy reach from the city’s international airport; just 9 minutes’ drive away.

Lugano offers the perfect starting point from which to reach the walks of Mount Bre and the historical Olive Trail in Gandria too; as well as the family activities of Mount Tamaro and the attractions of neighbouring Lake Como.

The host was communicating nicely with us "prior" to the arrival and answered all our questions. However, there was a miscommunication upon our arrival! Apparently the keys of the apartment should be picked up from another location in the centre of the city ! not from the apartment or the building it self. This information was not sent to us until travelling day in which we had no internet connection! So we came at 9:50 p.m. and stayed outside till past mid night trying to figure out the problem or reach out to someone. Calling the number listed in our reservation didn't help as no one picks up. The situation was really unfortunate especially that we had two exhausted kids with us. The guys working in the building themselves were extremely helpful and kind and we were lucky enough that the house owners were in town so they came and gave us their own private key and were extremely helpful and apologised for the miscommunication. They stayed in touch with us and helped us with many recommendations through out our stay. The house was extremely clean and well decorated even better than the pictures and the building was extremely clean. All amenities were clean and new. Internet was not working when we arrived for some reason. and we could not figure out how the dishwasher works as it stops and lags. So we waited until the person in charge came to fix them. He fixed the internet but could not figure our the setting of the dish washer so we ended up washing manually all our stay. Location wise, the apartment was close enough to the lake. and neighborhood was nice but there was long stairway leading to the lake which might not be convenient for people with kids strollers or babies. Also the highways was very close, so at night we had so much noise from the train and the cars. For the check out, we also had to go to the city centre to drop the keys off to the agency office. The person in charge apologised for that and said that this particular building does not have a key box. Overall the house is nice, location is ok, but communication is key!
