This is an option for those who want to be a bit outside the senter and more near the nature.
There are several terrasses for relaxing. For the long summer nights there are both BBQ grill and a nice pavillon with a sofa, heat and light. The nearest beach is just a couple of minutes away, and there is also nice fishing spots. It is excellent hiking in the area.
Sometimes there is other Airbnb guests in the other bedroom and it is shared bathroom. The stairs up to the house is a bit steep.

The space

This is a quiet and relaxing area outside Bergen senter with great access to mountains and sea. The house is small, but light and modern. There are no restaurants and food store (1,5 km) around the corner, but feel free to use the bikes. Sometimes there are other Airbnb guests in the house, so you have to be open minded and respectful to blend in.
If you like meditation and Yoga you can use my equipment for that. I also have ekstra hiking gear if you don't have.

Guest access

You have access to everything in the house!

Other things to note

The walking path and the stairs up to the house are a bit steep (but the view is nice).

We had a great time staying with Katarina. She was welcoming, friendly, helpful, and the perfect host. She even invited us to go kayaking! Her place is outside the city but in our opinion, it was perfectly located with breathtaking views and access to trails and lakes, but still only a bus ride away from the city life. We recommend walking through the forest and into the city at least once! Beautiful scenery! Katarina was very easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. She truly goes above and beyond for her guests!

Katarina and her son are very great hosts. The home is clean, modern, and has a lovely view. It is close to public transportation and a great hiking trail that takes you right into the center of Bergen in an hour or so. Katarina can be a great resource for things to do in town as well. I highly recommend her home if you're looking to experience Bergen in all of it's aspects (city and wilderness).

Katarina was a great host. She was lovely to talk to and provided great insight into Norwegian and Bergen culture. She even took me out in her kayaks, which was awesome.

Katarina was a great host! We had many great conversations and she was very accommodating to our schedule! Her house is about a 20 bus ride out of the city center but if you know the bus schedule its a very easy commute.

Katarina is extremely thoughtful and wonderfully communicative. Her home and the location are beautiful. We especially loved our hike a short walk from her home.

Katarina is a fantastic host, and she does an amazing job helping you settle, and find your way around if you're having too much trouble. On top of that, she went above and beyond and managed to help get my phone that had been lost on a bus, when I was certain it was gone. As far as the home, it's very nice, clean, and comfortable. The view was amazing, and it had perfect access to hikes just out the front door. Book this and you won't regret it.

About Katarina

"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious".
I always been traveling ....its makes me be more in the moment, using more of my senses and its always make me learn more about myself and others.

For me the nature is the most importent "thing" (after my family and friends ofcourse). When traveling, for me the best thing is to walk/bike around and see whats happening. I can not pick a favourite place its to many :-)

I have been working as a Sales manager in travel companies for many years. Now I am working as a NLP Coach.

As a host I have respect for integrity and want everyone to love Bergen and Norway. I'm from Sweden, but have lived in Bergen for 20 years and are very proud of the city.
