The space

I have a beautiful sun filled double room in Lincoln Heights (just east of Downtown and Chinatown) for nightly/weekly/monthly rental. The room comes with an attached private office/sun room/ studio/lounge.
The room has a comfortable full size Futon bed. The room is good for 1 or 2 people.
You will have access all facilities in the rest of the house including full kitchen, bathroom, lounge room, outdoor ‘tiki’ bar and wireless internet.

Lincoln Heights is a cool neighborhood with a relaxed atmosphere near downtown LA, there are fantastic restaurants/food stands all around. I live a short walk from a big supermarket and many other conveniences: libraries, bars, shops, galleries, pharmacy, restaurants, liquor stores, Laundromat, dollar stores, food, gas station etc.

I live in walking/cycling/metro distance to Chinatown, The Brewery Art Colony, Downtown, Dodger Stadium, Elysian park, Union Station (where you can get public transport to just about anywhere in LA), San Antonio Winery, and Little Tokyo.

If you have a car, Downtown, Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silverlake, and Echo Park are just a short drive away. If not, there are buses that run right down Broadway (at the end of our street) and some that run 24hrs. I live in a very convenient location if you want to travel around LA on public transport.

I'm originally from Australia and I've been living in the US for 5 years. (4 of them in Los Angeles.) I'm a visual artist and I work at the Torrance Art Museum in the South Bay.
I've lived in many different cities all over the world and love to travel, I've used Airbnb before when I've been moving around. I'm happy to help if you have any questions.
I really love Los Angeles and Lincoln Heights is a great neighbourhood.

I'm happy to have short or longer-term visitors so please contact me if you have any queries about the duration of your stay.
Although I have check-in and check-out times, you are welcome to hang around the house or leave you bags in the lounge, I just want enough time to make up the room for the next guests.

I also have a single room available at a cheaper rate so please check out my other listing.

Thank you!

Tom was a great host. Very friendly individual. The place is very central to most places in and around LA. If you figure out the bus routes too you can easily get downtown. This place is good if you're looking for a "home base" and plan on doing long day trips during out and about.

We had a pleasant stay at Tom's house. The place is well located, many buses will take you to Downtown for a cheap price. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Tom is very sweet and always managed to make our stay the best possible. I would definitely recommend him!

Tom was a great host, response within seconds to any requests and questions. The location was pretty convenient it had a bus station nearby and short drive to downtown LA which doesn't cost more than 10$ with uber pool. and it might be surprising but it gets cold at night and I got be honest I kinda missed waking up to legend Elvira cardboard.

Very nice host, friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. The apartment was clean, big and just as described. We traveled during winter time and thus it was a bit cold at night time. Tom provides enough blankets though.

Great location if you're working or visiting USC's medical campus. Near union station, so it also provides unique jumping point for exploring LA with public transportation. Family neighborhood. Overall great place and Tom is a very friendly host.

My name is Tom and I have lived in Los Angeles for three years. I am a visual artist who has done residencies and projects throughout the States before settling in LA.
I am originally from Melbourne, Australia but I have traveled extensively both for fun and also doing artist residences. I have lived in London, Stockholm, Berlin, New York and now consider Los Angeles home. I am passionate about LA and in particular my adopted neighborhood, Lincoln Heights.

Having a great deal of Airbnb experience both as a guest and as a host I very much look forward to making your stay as comfortable as possible!

Thanks very much,
