About this listing
This is a separate apartment consisting of a queen size bedroom, kitchen/living room and private bathroom with a shower. This unit has a separate entrance so there is lots of privacy.

I leave your kitchen stocked with tea, coffee, milk and breakfast items to get you started. The kitchen is brand new and has a refrigerator and microwave. There is a wall of windows/french doors so there is lots of light.
I am installing a washer and dryer in this unit but in the meantime feel free to use the one on the upper unit.
There is (email hidden) bed and all the asosciated linens for an extra/third person.
There is street parking and no permits needed. There is often a spot directly opposite the car deck. If you are arriving very late at night let me know and I will give you my space on the deck and take a street spot.

- paddle board around the bay
- hike mount tam
- bike to Tiburon and have lunch on the harbour at Sams
- walk to Mill Valley and lunch at The Depot in the village square
This house is unique in that it was built on the site of Sausalitos water tower so it is 22 steps down from street level and has a private walled garden.
Just so you know, I have a small 12lb dog called Mocha. He is curious and checks the property for raccoon damage each morning so you may see him. Careful he's a lover!
The apartment will be professionally cleaned for your arrival after 3pm.
Check out is 11am.
There is a welcome manual with all the information that you need upon arrival.
Nice little apartment in residential neighbourhood. We didn't meet our host as were out and about most of our visit. Be aware its up a steep hill if you're planning on walking back up from town. This was our first time using Airbnb and would gladly do so again.
I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay here.
I will check the listing but there is no dishwasher in the lower apartment. There is one in the upper apartment.
Thank you for telling me about the bed. The mattress is pretty new and so I am not sure why it would be lumpy but I will check it. Most guests actually comment on how comfortable the bed is.
The carpets were steam cleaned about 2 months ago but I will check get the cleaners out again.
The towels were clean however, if you felt they were not, then fi you had communicated that they would have been changed immediately. I,m so sorry.
The walls are due to be repainted...yes. It's hard to get the painters in.
I am not sure why there was no coffee or milk as both of those are in the storage unit for the housekeeper to refill. I will let her know. I wish you had told me as I could have remedied that on the spot.
Regarding the wineglass. I brought it up as it was reported to me by the housekeeper as opposed to you. You didn't mention that the wine glass was "Flawed" nonetheless after you explained that it broke while you were washing it I did not charge you.
I will give you a partial refund that I hope will go some way to taking the edge of your experience.
Again I am so sorry.
Tanya contacted us before so we were well prepared and arrived easily at her home. There we found wonderful cookies and red wine. Later she asked very discretely if we had any needs.
The apartment was very clean and fully equipped with everything to stay for a few days. We could wash our clothes and prepare a meal in the kitchen.
Tanyia welcomed us to her home. It is a beautiful place with everything you could want. A perfect start to our holiday in California. Sausalito is lovely with wonderful food. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in the Artist Studio! The welcoming and delicious bottle of wine along with almonds were appreciated after a long drive.
The apartment is clean, bright and beautiful with views of the canyon and trees. Everything we needed was provided...even laundry soap! The breakfast items were great for busy mornings. The quaint neighborhood is lush with beautiful homes and narrow, sometimes steep streets and, of course, Sausalito is amazing.
We had an absolutely lovely visit to Sausalito, and loved staying in this "house in the trees" as icing on the cake. Such a lovely spot, an easy walk to/from town along the water. The apartment was perfectly sized for two, with all the amenities we could ask for. Clean, bright, and airy. I can't wait to see what it's like when the balcony is built. Tanyia was very sweet to leave snacks and wine for us as well.
Tanyia's apartment was beautiful and situated in a convenient location in Sausalito. I really enjoyed the wine and cookies she left out, it was a lovely touch and made me feel at home. I also appreciated her suggestions for meals which were outstanding.

About the Host, Tanyia
I am a global ethnographer so I am on the road a lot. It's my job to meet people from all walks of life. Recently I spent a year in China researching women across the country and so why not open my home up and meet people in my own back garden so to speak!
This is my home and it has a second unit with a private entrance so you may never actually see me if that's more comforting!
I have rented this home many times with Homeaway where there are lots of great reviews. Please check this out if you would like to see the rest of the house to give you a better idea of your space.
I look forward to meeting you.
