The room was spacious and ultra clean. I was only in transit for one night but could enjoy a quiet night and a very comfortable bed. Marlene is a wonderful host and I very much appreciated the breakfast she prepared before I left the filling morning. I will definitely come back.
Haven't actually stayed with Reg and Marlene yet because of time/travel changes, but my stay was postponed for three weeks when I will again travel through their area. They were so easy to deal with that I feel certain we will have a wonderful experience when it actually happens. Based on our previous discussions, I think we will have much in common. I think we will have new friends.
Reg & Marlene are wonderful hosts. The room is clean and tidy and I even got a healthy/delicious breakfast in the morning. On my first day I got to play Tennis with Reg which was a lot of fun and helped distracting me from my audition stress. Thank you for your kindness and I hope you have a wonderful spring.
Best wishes, Danko
Arriving at Reg and Marlene's had the warmth and welcoming of arriving at our grandma's house but the treatment of being their guest of honor. Their home is very inviting, clean, and cozy. It's in a great location too; walkable distance from great food. The space has plenty of room and is set up like a luxury B&B. Not to mention, we were prepared a full course breakfast the next morning. I couldn't imagine our stay being any better. Thank you Reg and Marlene for hosting us!
My stay with Reg and Marlene was brief -- I arrived late in the evening and departed early for my final destination the following morning -- but they were both very welcoming. Their home, including my room and the shared bathroom I used, was neat and clean. The bed in my room was comfortable, and blankets were provided in the event I got cold, which I didn't. Despite having to work the morning of my departure, Marlene was kind enough to provide a breakfast of eggs, muffins and coffee to help send me on the next leg of my trip well fed. I would definitely stay here again, should the opportunity present itself.
Dunmore is adjacent to Scranton & felt more like a neighborhood of Scranton than its own town. I was in the area to run the Scranton Half Marathon & this was no more than a 10 minute drive. The room was exactly as described. I felt very comfortable. Marlene was agreeable to allowing me to check out late which I appreciated. Ice cream lovers should visit Main Avenue Ice Cream in Scranton.
