My stay with Reg and Marlene was brief -- I arrived late in the evening and departed early for my final destination the following morning -- but they were both very welcoming. Their home, including my room and the shared bathroom I used, was neat and clean. The bed in my room was comfortable, and blankets were provided in the event I got cold, which I didn't. Despite having to work the morning of my departure, Marlene was kind enough to provide a breakfast of eggs, muffins and coffee to help send me on the next leg of my trip well fed. I would definitely stay here again, should the opportunity present itself.
Dunmore is adjacent to Scranton & felt more like a neighborhood of Scranton than its own town. I was in the area to run the Scranton Half Marathon & this was no more than a 10 minute drive. The room was exactly as described. I felt very comfortable. Marlene was agreeable to allowing me to check out late which I appreciated. Ice cream lovers should visit Main Avenue Ice Cream in Scranton.
I always feel welcome at Marlene and Reggie's, they present a warm, clean, comfortable home, with a wonderful breakfast. During my last stay they had a darling new addition, Toby. Look forward to seeing them again for my monthly visit.
Marlene was a wonderful hostess to us. Her house is the perfect location to go skiing at Montage and even Elk even though it is 1/2 hour away. The description of the accommodations were spot on. Like the other reviews, the breakfast was hearty and plentiful. It really held us over for a long day of skiing. Almost everything was made from scratch! The house is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of street parking. It was near restaurants where we had dinner.
I was welcomed by Marlene for my usual late arrival, my room was warm and ready. The directions are easy, and just as presented.
This was a perfect overnight stop on the way from Virginia to NH and Maine. Right at the junction of rte 81 and 380 and convenient to both. Room was spotless with comfy beds and warm flannel sheets. We had some great chats with Reg about his Ontario farm. We may try to visit there. He and Marlene are wonderful and attentive hosts and clearly enjoy having Airbnb guests.
Marlene and Reg always welcome me on my l late arrival, provide me a warm and clean bedroom and bath, and provide a healthy and nutritious breakfast as I leave early. I truly appreciate all they do for me.
