We have comfortable single room in Lincoln Heights (just east of Downtown and Chinatown) for nightly/weekly/monthly rental.
The room is newly furnished with an extremely comfortable twin bed, heaps of closet space for suitcases and hanging clothes, draws and a reading lamp. The room is small but has a great deal of space for all of your things. You will have access all facilities in the rest of the house including full kitchen, bathroom, lounge room, outdoor ‘tiki’ bar (construction currently underway), barbeque, and wireless internet.
Lincoln Heights is a cool neighborhood with a relaxed atmosphere near downtown LA, there are fantastic restaurants/food stands all around. We live a short walk from a big supermarket and many other conveniences: libraries, bars, shops, galleries, pharmacy, restaurants, liquor stores, Laundromat, dollar stores, food, gas station etc.
We live in walking/cycling/metro distance to Chinatown, The Brewery Art Colony, Downtown, Dodger Stadium, Elysian park, Union Station (where you can get public transport to just about anywhere in LA), San Antonio Winery, and Little Tokyo.
If you have a car, Downtown, Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silverlake, and Echo Park are just a short drive away. If not, there are buses that run right down Broadway (at the end of our street) and some that run 24hrs. We are live in a very convenient location if you want to travel around LA on public transport.
Please note if you have a car we have STREET PARKING ONLY available - but there is plenty of it.
We are an artist couple originally from Australia, who moved to LA a few months ago after traveling around the US for 12 months. Tom is a painter and Bonnie is a video installation artist. We both work day jobs also to support our art.
We have lived in many different cities all over the world and love to travel, from our experiences we have a great understanding of the things you want/need when you are traveling and we are happy to accommodate you.
We are both huge fans of LA! We love this city and are constantly fascinated by it.
If you are into art or film we are happy to give you tips on what to check out while you are in LA.
We are happy to have short or longer-term visitors so please contact us if you have any queries about the duration of your stay.
Although we have check-in and check-out times, you are welcome to hang around the house or leave you bags in the lounge, we just want enough time to make up the room for the next guests.
We also have another double room for a couple or a single available so please check out our other listing. We also have room on a fold out couch in the lounge if you are a group of friends (please send us a message).

Cool place to be, everything was good, you got all you need in the house and in the area, and it's a good spot to downtown and the rest of the city, and above all that Tom is a cool host!! Was a pleasure and hounor to be at is caza.
I could not have asked for a better experience. Tom was a gent and did a great job at making me feel at home. The place is exactly as in the pictures and is very charming. The location is ideal for getting around town. I was slightly worried the room or bed might be a little to small (I'm 6'1) but they weren't. There is plenty of storage space and as described feels really nice and cosy. The neighbourhood is safe and the Tiki Bar is lovely spot to have breakfast. You can't ask for a better place to stay if you are on a budget like I was.
Tom's very courteous and just a cool guy. The house was always clean and is very homely. The room I stayed in was super comfy. The house is in a quiet location, but only a short walk away from bus stops and some shops. Pretty ideal.
Thank you so much for a pleasant stay! I really enjoyed stay at Tom's place. The room were clean, and close China town , you can easy tasting some snacks. Tom was friendly and nice guy!
Tom was a wonderful host! He made sure I knew where I was going and had everything I needed.... Including a cup of coffee upon waking up from a heavy night out!
Tom is welcoming and makes his guest feel as if they are in their own home. The neighborhood is calm an has great food and the room was as the description said. I would recommend his place to all travelers.
Host Tom and housemate Chenoah are both friendly artists who made my stay interesting and comfortable. Each person had their own space and could interact or not. A great deal with bus service 5-10 minutes away, laundromat and grocery store 10-15 minute walk away in what felt like a safe neighborhood of Hispanic and Asian families.
