Interaction with Guests
We live on the 3/4 acres next door to the cottage's 3/4 acre. Although both homes are very private and secluded. We are usually home and available for issues that arise. We usually let you check in on your own and have a booklet that gives all the info most people need. If you would like to hang out and have a glass of wine or cup of coffee we are always open to that and love it when it works out to do so!
We love our neighborhood! We are 6 blocks from the Burke Gilman trail which goes all the way out Northeast to Redhook Brewery and St. Michelle Winery and the other way, South to the University and Fremont and Ballard neighborhoods in Seattle. We have a dog friendly park one block from our place and many other open parks. We are close to Seattle, Edmonds, Bastyr University, Ferries....
Public transit is 6 blocks away on foot. The sound Transit 522 is an Express to Downtown, about a 30 minute ride. The Metro 372 takes you thru town to the University. You can view both on their websites, just (website hidden) them!

The LFP Cottage was lovely and Elise was a great host. She was quick to respond and left many goodies for our arrival. Our 3 daughters loved having so many toys to play with! the overall feel of the place was very warm and comfortable.
We loved our stay at the cottage... It was my personal favorite part apart our family vacation. Andy and Elise were great to work with and the cottage read warm and cozy the perfect little cottage in forest. They made us feel right at home, there was so much more than we thought. Hands down our best travel experience yet!
I booked the cottage for my nephew and family and they really enjoyed their stay. They loved the coziness and quaintness of the cottage. My nephew's exact quote, " just beautiful and I feel like I am home, which is what I wanted". He also loved the outside surroundings of the cottage. He will definitely stay at the cottage again.
What a great place to stay. Out of curiosity I looked at a few other selections around Seattle but kept coming back to Elise and Andy's LFP Cottage. Their home has such a great feel to it. Homey, cozy, comfortable, private. Very affordable and the hosts have made sure to stock the home with just about any amenity you would want or need. The cabinets in the den are filled with so many fun things to keep children busy. The communication was great and we always had immediate replies to our questions. When we were there the daphne growing outside had perfumed the air. It was really delightful. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be when all the rhodies are in bloom.
An absolutely gorgeous cosy cottage in a quiet tree and mist filled suburb, Elise and Andy made us feel most welcome and even left us welcome goodies! We loved filling our day with tourist crazy activities and returning to peace. Location wise, a great spot. Easy to navigate and a suburb full of it's own beauties. We had absolutely everything we needed. Kids were cosy and we had a lovely comfy bedroom. It's the kind of house we would have dreamed of finding when the kids were babies... Elise even had spare nappies in the cupboard for little ones! There were supplies galore, super comfy couches... loved having a separate sitting room from the kids. A perfect stay and a total must if you're staying in Seattle with kids. Can't recommend it highly enough. Oh and the sun porch was a delight for breakfast.... am coveting one for my own home now!!! Thanks so much ☺
I can't say enough fabulous things about Elise's cottage and communicating w her. I rented this cottage for my folks & they were in heaven. It was perfect! Everything you could ever need or want to feel like your home away from home. This cottage is so comfortable & well decorated. What a treat. My folks will continue to rent here each time they are in the Seattle area. Thank you! :)
My three boys and I (14, 8, and 1) really enjoyed staying at the cottage, a craftsman home from 1922. It was quiet, private, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed to have a great time. We would love to stay here again.
Travel, travel, travel! My husband Andy and I have spent a great deal of time in many countries around the world for both work and pleasure. Andy is a tall ship captain and spends a few months a year traveling via 'pirate ship' and I spend a few weeks a year with Drs Without Borders type volunteer surgical groups to city/towns all over the world..When not traveling we are..camping, hiking, swimming, cycling, almost all outdoor activites are enjoyed! We also love living on our property adjacent to our guest cottage..in the woods, nurturing our produce garden, participating in local events, bbqing with our neighbors and drinking local brew. We welcome all to our peaceful place in the woods
