Comfortable, well appointed Green Room offers lots of natural light and a private, off-suite bathroom. Coffee, pastries, and fruit are available for breakfast, or we'll provide kitchen privileges for longer stays.

Large, light-filled, second-floor room in historic Shaw neighborhood rowhouse is a short, easy walk to the Washington Convention Center or just four blocks to the Metro Green and Yellow lines. Grocery store, restaurants, and coffee shops are mere blocks away. Also, walk to the following (all within 2 miles):
* the United States Capitol,
* Union Station,
* two movie theaters (Regal in Chinatown and AMC at Union Station),
* museums (including the National Portrait Gallery, the Smithsonian Museum of Art, the International Spy Museum),
* Ford's Theater and the house where Lincoln died,
* Verizon Center and the GalleryPlace/Chinatown entertainment district,
* Howard University, and
* historic U Street.

In addition to a new, full-size bed and mattress, large closet, and dresser, the room also offers a TV with DVD player and a SoundSpa Fusion with alarm clock, radio, sound machine, and iPod cradle. Laundry facilities can be made available for stays of a week or longer. A Metro SmarTrip card is available for use on MetroRail or MetroBus during your stay. Street parking is plentiful and at your own risk.

Check-in/check-out are flexible depending on mutual needs, but week day check-ins may not be possible until evening due to work schedules. Your hosts are a French- and Hebrew-speaking gay couple and a friendly, well-behaved boxer who will be happy to provide advice on what to do and see while in the American capital.

  • I had a perfect time in Washington and the Stay at Ronen and Jeremy was great.
    They manage everything like professionals. The room was great. Exactly like pictured. Lots of small details that make staying at a place just so much easier. Clean and well kept room with a good bed and even a little desk for a computer.
    The breakfast options where really good too with lots of options.
    It was easy to get to and from the apartment with the good communications. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance as well.
    I warmly recommend staying with Ronen and Jeremy!

  • Great location with the DC Metro about 5 blocks away. Driving in DC sucks so don't. Learn to navigate of subways and you'll be happier. The guys left me alone and I they so we did not interact much. Very personable guys but I had so much to do in so little time, that it was hi, bye usually. Or hi, I'm going to bed. My room is very comfortable and the having my own bathroom is awesome. TV and Wi-Fi too. I did not know I chose Cherry Blossom Week, never again. It is crowded enough on a non-holiday week but I had no choice.

  • Staying at Ronen and Jeremy's was the perfect fit for me; single older woman wanting to explore Washington DC for the first time. They were welcoming, informative and thoughtful. The location is great for walking to the mall and connecting with train and bus and the accomodation is lovely. I would recommend this place to any couple or single visiting DC.

  • One of the best hosts in my experience using the Airbnb. Ronen has been very prompt in his responses to my queries and very warm.

  • My girlfriend and I had a great time at Ronen and Jeremy's home! We spent most of our time out exploring the loveliness that is Washington, but when we were resting back at the house it was perfect. The breakfast options were a nice touch and the cleanliness of the house was top notch. Next time we're back in D.C., we know where to go (unless it's already booked of course)!

  • Had a great stay at Shaw - Ronen & Jeremy were very accommodating hosts, and the place was very comfortable and well-decorated too. A short walk to the Subway/Metro, located in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended - I felt like I was staying in a really nice boutique hotel.

  • If you are looking for a wonderfully locsted, clean, and warm place to stay, where your hosts make you feel like you are home, then go to Ronen & Jeremy's place.

    You will be just 20 minutes walking for all the main museums, in a really safe neighborhood and with access to all the transportation in case you require it.

    The guys are welcoming, very friendly and they even abandoned their job responsibilities for a few minutes, to help me get into their place. A really wonderfull experience!

  • Thank you so much!
    I can only rate my stay with 5 stars and highly recommend that place!
    Ronen and Jeremy were both very nice and helpful! I felt welcome and got many tips for my stay.
    The dog is so cute and well behaving.
    The house was super clean, freshly renovated and beautifully furnished.
    The room is sunny and cozy with a private bathroom next door.
    It was great to get some breakfast, too.
    Also the neighbourhood is nice, quiet, has many restaurants - (email hidden) garden.
    You can rewally walk to the Capitol and come back with the Metro.
    All in all: perfect!

  • Very pleasant home/room. Intriguing location; I especially enjoyed visiting the African American Museum devoted to civil war colored troops.

  • In spite of the need to check in late, Jeremy and Bourbon, their beatiful boxer were right there to meet me and get me settled out of the cold. Ronen was out of town but Jeremy was informative and I felt very much at home.

    The Shaw neighborhood was an amazing disovery. Many fine places to eat, good pubs and a fascinating history around U Street, 14 Street and Logan Circle.
