In addition to a full-size bed and mattress, large closet, and dresser, the room also offers a TV with DVD player and a SoundSpa Fusion with alarm clock, radio, sound machine, and iPod cradle. Laundry facilities can be made available for stays of a week or longer. A Metro SmarTrip card is available for use on MetroRail or MetroBus during your stay. Street parking is plentiful and at your own risk.
Check-in/check-out are flexible depending on mutual needs, but week day check-ins may not be possible until evening due to hosts' work schedules. Your hosts are a French- and Hebrew-speaking gay couple and a friendly, well-behaved boxer who will be happy to provide advice on what to do and see while in the American capital.
Guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Guests are also welcome to have breakfast in the dining room.
Use of the refrigerator, stove, pots or pans, washer and dryer, or dishes not set out for breakfast are reserved only for guests staying 7 days or longer.
Shaw is a vibrant area that offers easy access to all the sights of Washington yet retains the feel of a neighborhood. Restaurants, bars, beer gardens, and public transportation are all within easy reach.
Two MetroRail stations are within a short, easy walk from the house, giving access to Green and Yellow lines. There are also several very useful MetroBus lines within blocks of the house, especially the G2, which runs all the way to Georgetown and back. We have a SmarTrip card to loan guests for use on both MetroRail and MetroBus.
-- Check-in can be flexible, but understand that Ronen & Jeremy both work, so, on weekdays, we may not be able to grant access to the house and room until 7:30p.
-- The dog is well loved and well fed. Please do not feed him, even though he will ask.
-- Please ensure the toilet seat is down when not in use; the puppy should find his water in the kitchen.
-- Always close the bedroom door when leaving; your trash can may be too tempting.
-- For guests staying seven nights or less, we gladly provide breakfast; guests should not assume use of refrigerator or kitchen. For guests planning longer stays, we will provide a shelf in the frig and kitchen privileges for self-catering.
-- Juice and milk for breakfast, which will be laid out on the counter, are in the door of the refrigerator; we will advise if anything else in the refrigerator or cupboards is available for guest consumption or use.
-- Just put any dirty dishes in the sink; we'll take care of loading and running the dishwasher.
-- Guests may provide the house number (phone number hidden) to limited friends, family, or colleagues as a means of reaching them, but we would appreciate knowing if it has been shared and unfortunately cannot guarantee timely delivery of any messages left in voicemail.
-- There is a small wooden bowl on the table by the front door; please leave the keys in the bowl when you are in house.
-- Lost keys fee is $50.
-- Lost Metro SmarTrip card fee is $25.
Джереми был очень дружелюбен. Жилье нам очень понравилось. Находится близко к центру, можно пешком 25 мин до Капитолия. Тихий район. Хороший завтрак. Нам очень понравилось.
I stayed in the green room for a two-night trip to visit family. The house was quiet, clean, comfortable, and had everything i needed (including my own bathroom and shower) for my visit. Jeremy was very accommodating and left out a great selection of breakfast options. Their dog, Bourbon, is also very sweet.
The only difficulty can be street parking since many of the surrounding streets have various zoning codes that may require you to move your car (despite the visitor parking pass that Ronen and Jeremy provide when you check in).
What a great place to hang out in D.C. I chose not to stay at the convention hotel because I needed to study for a test. Staying with Ronen & Jeremy allowed me to study in peace and clear my head by walking to the convention.
It is an easy and picturesque 20 minute walk to the convention area. I popped up to O ( I believe) and headed west to 9th and took a left straight into the hotel. Very easy to get around.
My favorite place to eat while there: (website hidden) . This is right across from the Marriott.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the accommodations were great. Their boxer is very friendly and did not hear a peep out of him. Wi-fi provided and plenty of power outlets.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Well furnished, clean bedroom and private bath with everything I needed: a comfortable bed, iron and ironing board, alarm clock, cable TV, and even emergency toiletries. Thank you, Jeremy!
Perfect stay. Jeremy & Rosen are wonderful hosts and their dog is lovable!!
