Located in a quiet neighborhood at the Lake, close to Tahoe City and the major ski resorts Alpine and Squaw Valley, Northstar and Homewood, this recently remodeled modern Dollar Point home is very spacious and stylish. The split 3 level, 4BR home has an open living/dining/kitchen area with 18 foot high wood beamed ceilings and large fireplace, as well as a large family and game room with a foosball table, an electronic dart and many board games. You will also enjoy the 2 new flat screen TV's. The nice kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates, and silverware – ready for you to cook in and share your meal at the large dining table with family & friends. We also have a large Weber BBQ grill and comfy Crate & Barrel outdoor furniture on the deck.

Like most houses in Lake Tahoe we don't have an air-condition other than the "Tahoe Breeze". The "Nest" is only a heater thermostat, not an A/C. We do have fans at the house.
About the prestigious Dollar Point Association and neighborhood:
Located on the lake side of the highway and with great sun exposure, Dollar Point Association offers some of the best amenities on the Lake. A beach pass grants you access to the private beach, with pier, picnic tables, BBQ, beach volleyball, beach chairs, umbrellas, and to the pool and tennis courts. The house is only one block (few minutes walk) from the private Swimming Pool with Diving Board and Tennis Courts. Large Pool Deck area with Patio Furniture, lifeguards on duty, and swim/tennis instructors. Babysitter lists are available at the pool. Bike paths and trails are abundant in the area and start right at Dollar Point. North Star even offers a bike lift for downhill. Hiking trails are endless and beautiful. Lake fishing companies operate out of Tahoe City if you don’t have your own boat. Kayaking, boating, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, beach volleyball, fishing and crawdad fishing are popular at the private beach.

You especially agree that there will be no more than 8 people staying at the house and that only those people will be staying at the house which you listed in your booking inquiry.
Occupancy (max 8 people)
The maximum allowed occupancy for our house is 8 people for your stay. The minimum age required for renting our house is 26 years.
AirBnb places a hold on a $600 damage deposit. IF the following provisions are met, your damage deposit will be fully released to you after 48 hours of your departure.
·All keys (2) and beach/pool passes (2) were returned to the key board
·No damage is done to the home or its contents.
·Only the registered renters have slept in the house.
·No parties (exceeding 12 people) happened at the house.
·No linens or household items are missing.
·No bath towels were used at the beach/pool.
·No early check-in or late checkouts.
·House has not been smoked in.
·No pets were brought to the house.
·House is in acceptably clean condition that doesn't require additional cleaning/laundering hours on top of the regular end of stay cleaning.
When you arrive, the home will be clean and set up with towels and linens. No beach towels are provided, please bring your own. Bath towels from the house cannot be used at the pool or beach. You will find two sets of keys and pool passes at the “Route 69” keyboard. Please return them there at the end of your stay. Dollar Point Association charges $100 for each lost pool card, which we would have to deduct from your deposit. If keys are lost or stolen, rekeying cost may be deducted as well.
REX, our bear defender: We have two motion sensors in front of the doors and windows at ground level. They will bark like a dog to scare off bears. Simply unplug REX when you are at home and re-plug it when you are leaving the house.

No pets allowed. Guests who bring a pet or pets without approval will forfeit their security deposit and may be evicted from the property.
This is a non-smoking home and property. Any violation of the smoking policy will forfeit your deposit.
Children need to be supervised by their parents at all times.
The Owner shall provide utilities, furniture and fixtures, lines and towels (no beach towels provided). A telephone land line is provided for emergencies only – no international or other calls that may result in charges for the owner are allowed.
Private storage: The storage room, linen closet and the wine fridge in the basement area contain private items and are locked. Please respect our privacy and don’t attempt to force these locked doors open.
Check-in time is no earlier than 4 pm. There is only a 5 hour window to completely clean, disinfect and set up for the next guests. Please respect this work schedule and do not arrive early.
Checkout time is no later than 11 am the day you are scheduled to leave. We must be able to enter the home at 11 a.m. If you do not vacate the premises on time, you will be charged for one (1) additional night‘s stay.
Checkout procedures: Prior to checkout, all dishes should be washed and put away. Towels should be placed in the laundry hamper in front of the laundry room. Please be reasonable with your use of towels, bedding and linens. Before leaving make sure all doors and windows are shut. Plug in REX, the motion sensor/bear defender. Both house keys and the two beach passes need to be returned to the Route 69 keyboard. Please lock the main door with the lockbox key and return the lockbox key to the lockbox.
We will not be liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost or stolen.
If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, call us as soon as possible and we will arrange for shipment. We will inform you of the shipping cost and with your approval, deduct it from your deposit refund to cover the expense.
If cleaning charges exceed the regular $220 cleaning bill the additional charges will be deducted from your deposit.
You must be 26 years of age to rent this home and provide proof of age, if requested.
The home has a maximum occupancy of eight (8) guests. Renters who exceed the occupancy limit and falsify occupancy information at the time of reservation are subject to eviction.
House parties, events and large gatherings exceeding 12 people are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
Tenant acknowledges any loss and/or damage to the house will result in a charge for replacement value to tenant’s credit card, or if tenant is paying by check tenant will promptly submit the moneys due. Tenant agrees to indemnify and save Owner and Property Managers harmless from all liability, loss or damage arising from any nuisance or harm made or suffered on the leased premises by tenant, guests or invitees. Also from any carelessness, neglect, or improper conduct of any persons entering, occupying or visiting the apartment or premises.
Owner shall not be liable to Tenant, Tenant’s guests, licenses or invitees or any other person for any injury, loss or damage to any person or property on or about the premises. Tenant shall hold Owner and Managers harmless and indemnified from and against all loss, injury or damage occasioned by the use or misuse or abuse of any part of the premises, parking lot, beach or community and from or against any omission, neglect, or default of Tenant, his guests, licensees or invitees
Illegal substances and weapons on the premises are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. Guests are to respect nature and take care to guard themselves and their guests as appropriate.
If a personal check is returned to us for non-sufficient funds, you will be charged the amount levied by the bank for NSF charges.
Any exceptions to the rules and regulations as written here, must be approved in writing in advance.

Please go to (website hidden) and learn about the bears at Dollar Point. Unfortunately some people feed bears at Dollar Point, so they feel comfortable enough around people and in the neighborhood to break into houses and cars. They will come if you leave food outside, on the deck, in the car or outside of the trash can. When they enter a house, they’ll leave a disaster, though they don’t usually come in a house if people are present. Bears in Dollar Point are so well fed by now, that many of them don’t hibernate during the winter anymore – making them more prone to look for food in your car and peoples houses.
To avoid damage to your car and our house, please follow these important rules:
•Always place trash in the lockable bear safe trash cans at the driveway and securely lock it.
•Never leave food outside or in the car. Don’t leave the house and leave doors and windows open – they know where the food is, how to open doors and windows and what a fridge means!
•If bears enter our property let them know they are not welcome by yelling and waving at them and scaring them away every time you see them. Throw something close to them (not at them). They’ll understand and run away. They don’t usually attack.
•Turn on a light and the TV or radio when you are away from the house to make the bear believe you are inside.
•Do not get between a mother and her cub. If you do, slowly move out of the way.
•Always give bears time and space to avoid you. Never run away from a bear as this may trigger an instinct to chase. Stand tall and slowly back away.
•Although it is VERY RARE, if attacked by a black bear, FIGHT BACK! (I need to laugh at this one…).
About the Host, Hilde
Originally from Cologne, Germany but have lived all over the place. I have lived in Belgium, spend a year in France as Au pair, worked for a year in South Africa, and then a couple of years in Munich and Frankfurt. Since 2004 I have been living in the US (New York and San Francisco) with my husband Markus and two children Alexander and Renee Sophie. My children are 6 and 9 years old and very sweet 90% of the time. The other 10%, oh well...
We are easy going, down to earth and humorous people who are into sports, like to spend time outdoors and love pets.
In 2012 we fulfilled a longtime dream and bought and remodeled a beautiful 4br, 2400sf house in Tahoe Dollar Point which allows us to spend time with friends and family while having fun at the lake. Though Lake Tahoe is mostly known for it's world class skiing and the olympic ski resort in Squaw Valley (yes, we love that too!), personally, we almost enjoy the place even more during the summer since there are so many things to see and do besides skiing.
We try to be good guests and to treat other people's property respectfully and expect the same from our guests. Should there ever be a problem please talk to us and I am sure we can always sort it out and hopefully make it right!
