The Space

Renovated from a 1928’s working ship this cozy houseboat is suitable for 2 guests.
The guest bedroom is situated in front of the boat and has a private wash basin and lavatory. The rest of the boat, kitchen and shower are shared with the owner.
The owners bedroom is 20 feet apart.

Guests will receive a key and are completely free in coming and going as they like. Guests have access to everything, there are no restrictions. This specifically goes for coming and going, early morning or deep at night. It's all good!

The idea of the owner is: live and let live and as it happens share a drink, laugh and bonfire together.

Public transport is just 50 meters around the corner.

The booking includes bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi.
Breakfast is possible for an additional fee of
€ 7.50 p.p.p.d.
For all of your cat lovers, meet Boobie, the cat who likes people. She is an out-door cat, no litter box on board.

If you are interested in tasting Dutch home cooked food, just let me know. I love to make you a typical Dutch-plate for dinner.

The Neighborhood

The Neighborhood
The houseboat is located on a green street where there is a village like atmosphere. Everybody helps each other and all with the Amsterdam attitude of live and let live.
At the end of the street you will find a very nice beach bar which is open 7 days a week for tasty typical Dutch bitter-balls, beers and beverages.
All in walking distance are the following places:
- City Sky Bar
- The flea market 'Waterlooplein'
- Various Museums
- One of the oldest squares in the city the 'Nieuwmarkt' where you can eat the best 'Cheese Fondue' ever.

Getting around

Parking
Your car can be parked next to the houseboat, however one should take in to account that the parking fee is €3.10 an hour (free of charge from midnight till 9AM). The more reasonable parking option is to park your car about 2-3 km from the houseboat. It is a secured parking space, they charge 8 euro for 24 hours, very accessible and easy to come back to the houseboat with the tram.

  • Everything was really uncomplicated with Siet. We booked the room just two days before. The location of the boat is awesome. 10 minutes walk to the city center, during the day and in the evening a quiet place to stay. For our next time in Amsterdam we'll coming back to her nice house boat.
The small room has a huge bed, an own sink and toilette...everything you need. Shower is in the front of the boat. Lovely kitchen and living room!

  • It was my first experience with B&B and also traveling alone for the first time in Europe, so I was a little concerned about it. I can say it was beyond my greatest expectations. Siet is a delight and help make me feel very welcome and comfortable in here lovely home. I would recommend it to anyone wanting something a little different. The house boat is simple and charming and if you don't mind not staying in 5 star is has everything you need but with more character than you can buy. I say Go and enjoy the real Amsterdam!

  • My 3 ladies and me, we had a very relaxed & comfortable stay in ADAM, it was a wonderful way to explore the city. The sweet little houseboat is an amazing & cosy place to stay if you want to come down a bit from your daily routine. The B'n'B is located just 2 tram stations from the main station & from the central of ADAM. Siet is very cool & polite person & she spared no effort to provide us a pleasant stay. Thanxx to Siet (and Bubi the cat!!!) for the dutch eggs and the wonderful familiar feeling during our stay. WE definitely will come back ! Cheerz, Marcus

  • Wow! What a gorgeous boat; the pictures really do it justice. Siet is such an obliging host. She took time to point out some really interesting sights and activities for us, pointed out where our breakfast and welcome bottles of wine were, laid down the houseboat rules: have fun and don't bump your head, and then left us to it for a thoroughly enjoyable long weekend. Highly recommended and I'd love to stay on the Tante Piet again, as soon as possible!
