Welcome to St Kilda!
About the House:
We have a warm stylish family home in St Kilda East.
It has lovely period features common to the early 1900's such as pressed tin rooves, and wooden fret work.
We have Wifi and offstreet parking. The house has two double bedrooms. For those with kids there is also a room with two single beds and lots of toys. There is a trampoline outside and a cubby house. It is very children friendly and the street is a lovely cul-de- sac with many families.
One of our favourite parts of the house is the outdoor dining area. The is a day bed and a table that seats eight.
About the Area:
The house is a few minutes from Ripponlea train station (12 mins to the city) and the Ripponlea village with cafes. It is also close to the Ripponlea estate and five minutes walk from Glenhuntly Rd where there is a cinema and lots of shops.
We are open to any discussion about renting the house.
Look forward to meeting you!

My family and I had a wonderful 8 night stay in Kate's lovely home in St Kilda East.
The house was perfect for us as a family of 5 (from Sydney) with a large and light main bedroom for my husband and I, a great kids bedroom with bunks and a huge attic bedroom (with ensuite) for our eldest.
The large and level backyard (with trampoline and portable soccer net) was a hit with the kids and the covered verandah (with daybed) was the perfect place to supervise them from while reading the paper.
We relied on public transport for our entire stay and found the train station (Ripponlea) and tram stops both within easy walk of the house. Hawk & Hunter cafe located just opposite the train station was a great place for breakfast and we went there many times!
Kate's house made our Melbourne break a really enjoyable one and I would recommend a stay here to anyone, particularly those travelling to Melbourne with children. We would definitely stay here again if it's available on our next visit.
Such a relaxing stay in a character filled home. Surrounded by beautiful artworks and furniture we were able to have a slice of Ripponlea life thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the hosts. Kate and Matt went out of their way to make us feel very welcome, setting up a cot for our little one, and letting our kids use their kids toys. The backyard with swings and tramp were a hit - memories of jumping til the stars came out and running under the sprinkler on 44 degree days will be entrenched in my kids memories. Happy days on the back venanda drinking wine with friends hearing the amusing antics of the neighbours - community theatre at its best. Gazing at the intricate pressed metal ceilings I lamented why contemporary house design lacks any flair. Loved the house and garden and appreciate how understanding Matt and Kate were with our departure chaos! Packing up with three in nappies is never easy! Matt and Kate are the ultimate hosts - make airbnb a great place. Thanks for sharing your special home with us. Was a brilliant holiday. Oh what I would do to have Glicks bakery and Batch cafe around the corner again! And a midnight jaunt at Ripponlea estate gardens around the corner was the ultimate way to deal with the 36 degree night!
Perfect for the whole family! We stayed at this lovely house with our two girls (2.5 & 1) and it was so much better then a serviced apartment we usually stay in. The kids loved the toys, trampoline, cubby house and swing set and we loved the central floor heating, beautiful house and proximity to St Kilda and cafes.
There are some fantastic little shops and cafes really close by and the train station is just minutes away. Kate was a great host and catered to all our needs, even asking what the kids ate for breakfast! We will definitely stay here again.
This is a truly amazing family property - large airy rooms, wonderful garden for the kids to play in and extremely comfortable. Very close to Ripponlea station and heritage house, trendy cafes and shops on Carlisle Street and beachfront of St Kilda. Slight downside was no air conditioning (fans provided) that meant a couple of uncomfortable nights as did noise from next door neighbours. Overall however, a fantastic place I'd be happy to recommend. Kate was very helpful and responsive host - thanks again.
Beautiful house, with a nice terrasse and garden, just 15 mn from CBD by train, or tram
This is a great house brimming with character. We had everything we needed. The location is fab too, near trams and trains and plenty of good shopping and cafes. Excellent communication with Kate and Matt.
