Excellent experience; Martina was very nice and we could chat in German. Very nice and quiet apartment.
Martina is a very welcoming and helpful host! The apartment is as described and very pleasant. The room had all I needed for a short academic stay and was very comfortable and warm (It was snowing outside). It is indeed a short walk from NIH. I would definitely like to stay at Martina's apartment if I come back to Bethesda.
What a great experience! Her house was very comfortable and cozy, and it immediately felt like coming home. She was very knowledgable about the surrounding area, and more than happy to help out in anyway she could! I can't recommend this place more
This is a great place to stay if you are visiting NIH - a comfortable room, less than a 10 minute walk to the main entrance at the NIH, and a number of restaurants within short walking distance. Martina is a great host who thinks of everything someone might need - water, extra towels, good lighting if you need to work at the desk, lots of outlets to recharge you electronic devices.
Martina was a lovely host. The room was just as described, and her home is located within walking distance of NIH, Walter Reed, and downtown Bethesda. I will definitely return if I have a future rotation at Walter Reed.
Martina is a superb host! I stayed at her flat for 5 nights (I was in the DC area for a conference). The room is great: spacious, clean, lots of storage space, good Wi-Fi. Martina was very helpful, provided lots of information and went out of her way to make my stay comfortable and convenient. To round it all off, the room is in a great location, with easy access to downtown Bethesda and only 30-35 minutes away by metro from downtown DC. All in all, an enthusiastic thumbs up!
I love to share with people the things I learned about the Washington D.C. area over the 20 years I have lived here. I am originally from Austria, and love to travel myself.
My interests are broad and spread as far as from Opera at the Kennedy center to Baseball games, Health and Wellness to good chocolate.I love the fact that this area provides access to cultures from all parts of the globe.
