The Space

Rustic charm N’ Urban setting
Stuyvesant Heights
I live on a very quiet street lined with Brownstones & Brick homes that have backyards that bring to mind country living. You can have the entire floor or private rooms that are safe, clean, comfortable & Wifi enabled. Street side parking available. Centrally connected by public transportation to Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens neighborhoods. Only 8 minutes from Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges where you can walk or bike as you gaze at Lady Liberty in the Harbor.
An awesome neighborhood offering entertainment from public parks to charming restaurants and street side Cafés. Stuyvesant heights is a historic neighborhood that is currently experiencing re-gentrification and cultural diversity. The Metro Tech Ctr and up and coming Nets Stadium in Downtown Bklyn has brought new interest to this area. I'm a great host and can direct you to a great New York experience, enjoy a safe and adventurous time as you stay in my ‘Secret Garden’

  • Claire is a very good person and host. Her brother, Kevin, as well. were ready to help us in any question. The appartment is easy to reach. Line A, C for coming from the airport. Line G is also available. The are 2 separate bedrooms and living room with a kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped. The only thing that I missed was laundry washer.
Be careful with the parking near the house - we parked near fire-plug and it costed us 230$!!!!!!!!!
The district is green, a lot of shops around. Some of them work even late evenings.

  • We stayed 10 days at Claire's, she was really nice and helpfull. The rooms were very clean, she gave us clean sheets and towels. The subway station is about 5 minutes away and brings you straight up to manhatten in about 10-15 minutes. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet. There are some grocery shops, fast food restaurants and coffeshops (for breakfast) which basically offer everything you need for your stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Claire's and would definitely recommend it for its price.

  • Had a good stay at Claire's place. It was very clean, I liked the area and Claire was great to deal with.

  • The good: this apartment was a thankfully inexpensive option, which meant we had extra dollars to spend at some of the great restaurants (Emily's), bars (Glorietta Baldy) and cafes (Scratchbread) within walking distance. Good subway connections, too, and it was very easy and pleasant dealing with Claire.

The not-so-good: bed isn't very comfortable (just a bit lumpy and crackly – it bothered my partner more than me), and the wifi connection was weak on the top floor.

By the by: we probably should have done more research into the location, as in retrospect it would have suited us better to stay more centrally so that we could return to the apartment in the afternoons before heading out again for dinner. Not a criticism of the apartment – more our own level of preparation!

  • Our stay at Claire's apartment was great! The place is spacious, clean and very well equipped for groups up to about 6 people (although 8 would fit aswell). We were with 4 young people and had lots of fun! The neighbourhood is fun and interesting with a lot of possibilities to get to Manhattan and other places in Brooklyn. Correspondence with Claire was quick and easy, it was a perfect AirBnB experience. Thanks Claire!

  • We spent 12 days in NYC. Staying in Claire's apartment was a good choice. Not far from Manhattan and quite close to wonderful Prospect Park. The apartment was fully equiped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn And Claire was very friendly :)

  • The apartment is better than the pictures tells. It's not exactly a high end posh place, but come on. It's in a quiet neighborhood and Claire is super easy to deal with. And nice. Considering the price of this place (cheap!) I truly would recommend it to all. Especially back packers and others who comes to NY to explore the city. Perfect place to sleep and eat breakfast before heading out.
