  • I can surely recommend Kelvin's place for people visiting Nairobi. Kelvin is a good host and the house is nice and clean. Since it is close to the airport it is also recommendable for people who have an early flight or want to avoid the hectic Nairobi traffic!

  • Great host!! We had a lovely time with Kelvin and he was so nice and introduced his family to us. It was a true Kenyan experience even tho we just stayed for one night. Great guy!

The house is very nice but one must remember it is not the standards one might be used to, not coming from Kenya.
However this is reflected in the price. Simple but clean.

I would definitely tell everyone to stay here. It is also very close to the airport which is great if you just have a layover.

  • Kelvin made me feel more welcome than I could have ever hoped for during my stay in Nairobi. Both he and Sam were very helpful in showing me around, helping me catch the appropriate buses, telling me how to get to places and what I should expect. Trying to manage these things on my own would have been much, much harder.

The best part though was how they invited me to go do things with them: visit their friends & family, eat with them and go out a couple times in the evenings. When I left I felt like I had a nice taste of what it was like for the people who actually live and work in Nairobi. The whole time I felt like I was visiting my own family and friends — I was genuinely sad to go!

I hope life lets us cross paths again at some point in the future. If I ever find my way to Africa again I would go out of my way to make sure I visit Kelvin & Sam.
