About This Listing
I rent a house in Sardinia, on the West coast, between the town of Oristano and Bosa, CUGLIERI a small town of 2.500 inhabitants, located between sea and mountain, with 500 meters of altitude.
The house to be rented is located in bottom of the village, with sight on the fields of olive-trees, the sea and the sky with far, with 4 kilometers as the crow flies. The sight of the terraces is sublime, only a dome in tile glazed of the oldest church of the village, whose establishment goes up with the 11° century, comes to fall under this splendid landscape.
The house is made up with the ground floor of a great kitchen and a living room dining room with arched parts. many utensils to do a good cooking during holidays....
In the first floor, a large living room, with two beds which can be used as room, an other large bedroom with bathroom + a small room of child, giving on a back air shaft.
In the second floor, two rooms and a large bathroom, WC, washing machine at disposal.
In the third floor, a large terrace with kitchen of summer and unspoilable view.
Access and easy carpark.
Television and wifi at disposal, at the fist floor, in the big living.
bed shits and hand towels are provided. except the beach towels… you can thus come without too much luggage… travel light.
it is simply asked to follow the instructions of the house which are, on the one hand described in the advertisement and other share that I you will make pass after confirmation of your stay and payment of the hiring by the average protected Internet of Paypal, always via site AIRBNB, (formidably well done, clear and precise).
For the prices of the hiring, they depend on the season and the number of people who will occupy the house during the definite period.
I make a point of specifying, that I do not live in the house, I live in another house, with the top, connected by a footbridge-terrace. you are thus autonomous and independent… as on your premise… in a house furnished with taste. In this “house of the voyage” each part is inspired by a country in which I lived… thus you can choose to sleep in the African room, the Chinese living room, the small room tahitienne etc… which encourages your spirit to rove, an important data for its owner who was high with the voyage in heritage… With the pleasure of meeting you soon. With quickly. Bests regards. (sorry for my poor and bad english) Sylvie de LA DURE.
We definitely enjoyed our stay at Sylvie's house. At first we were a little bit disappointed, because the house looked different than the pictures at airbnb and the kitchen was not as clean as we hoped for. But anyway the house was very special and lovingly furnished. The terrace is the absolute highlight of the whole house. We had breakfast with the best view over Cuglieri and in the evening we enjoyed the nice sunset. Furthermore Sylvie is a very good host. She lives just next door and so she could give us some advices about what to do and see around. She also was very helpful making dinner reservations or phone calls in italian (none of the locals speaks english).
The house was supposed to have WiFi, but we could only get connected on the terrace and even there the connection was very unstable.
All in all we had a great time in Sylvie's house and on Sardinia in general and can recommend you to spend your vacation there.
Very friendly host, but please recheck check-in process before arriving. I did not get a check-in information (although I sent my arriving details well before) and stood in front of closed doors. Probably just a mistake and we were able to manage the check-in by calling the host. The kitchen and eating room is very dark, but this is likely typical for such an original italian house. Many amenities and nice decoration. I also share the positive aspects described by the other evaluators. Very clean bathrooms, fridge, kitchen working surface, but the inside of the kitchen drawers and the crockery could be cleaner (but I think, we as the guests should be more responsible for this, so I don't want to blame the host). All in all our stay was nice.
Sylvie is a remarkable host at her impressive house in Cuglieri. As a Frenchwoman who works as an architect in Cuglieri, she has extensive knowledge of the village and the surrounding secrets. Her style is evident in the meticulous renovation of the very old building, which is transformed into a collection of global treasures from her travels in Africa, India and China.
Cuglieri is a small town but with many services and a distinctively local Italian atmosphere, though there are many French and other expats slowly moving in. Good beaches are about 1/2 hour drive, and many impressive sites (Su Nuraxi, Alghero) are about 1 hour drive.
The house is comfortable for seven people and sustainable for nine people, with two bathrooms. The kitchen is more than sufficient for cooking all meals. Beds are generally comfortable and new. Be prepared to walk up and down many stairs. The terrace is simply extraordinary. There were no mosquitos or other hazards during our stay, while there were many down in Cabras. The cool dry air in Cuglieri keeps the temperature reasonable without air conditioning. Parking is easy, and a car is necessary.
Enjoy your stay.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME IN SARDINE, WE DID ENJOY OUR COMNG HOME EVERYDAY AND SPEND THE REST OF THE TIME IN THE ABSOLUT FABULOUS FLAT. WE HAD A VERY NICE WELCOME AND EVERYTHING DID WORK PERFECT. VERY VERY THANKS YOU FOR ALL THAT WE COULD RELAX IN THIS PERFECT FLAT
Fantastic house in a fascinating small town with tall houses clinging to the side of the hill. The house is beautiful and stylishly but comfortably furnished, everything the pictures promised. After a warm welcome from Sylvie and Lica (who helps with the house) we had a great time exploring the tiny cobbled streets of Cuglieri. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace with an amazing view all the way to the sea; you need good legs and a good memory; its a long way if you forget the butter! Cuglieri is well placed for exploring the island. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, make sure you make the trip over the mountains at the back of the town. Thanks for a great time.
My friends and I had a really amazing week in Cuglieri in Sylvie's house. It was even better than in the photos and really beautifully decorated and furnished.
The rooms are big and airy and each one has its own quirky detail to make it unique. From the second we walked in, we fell in love with the place. The views from the roof terrace were amazing and it was a great place to sit and relax at any time of day.
The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare a hearty feast in the evenings.
The location makes a car necessary but we never had any trouble with parking and the town itself was ideal - quiet and sleepy up in the mountains but with lots of meandering alleys and good food to keep us entertained.
Sylvie was lovely and very welcoming. Having her live next door is particularly useful if you need any advice or local recommendations.
All in all, a really good experience and one that every single one of us is keen to repeat!
The house was beautiful and the roof terrace a great place to relax. It was nice being a resident of Cuglieri for a few days. Merci Sylvie!

About the Host, Sylvie
architecte dplg à mon compte. agence PlanetstudiO. travaille particulièrement en Sardaigne.
