The flat is very clean and close to anything. Using the Uber Taxi app, we were able to have a cab show up in under three minutes at any time of the day. Robert was very responsive to all questions. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on staying there in the future.
This is the second time I have stayed in Robert's place and it was just as great as the first time. Since I was by myself it is really more space than I needed, but the location is superb, I really like the neighborhood, and it is so comfortable. It's the first time I have stayed in Chicago in the winter and the condo is easily heated. In fact Robert left it a little warmer than I needed during the day. It has everything to make for a relaxed visit. Robert is a wonderful host and even got me a hair dryer since I didn't bring one. The "El" and stores/cafes/restaurants are in easy walking distance. I look forward to coming back again in the future.
The condo was extremely convenient to stores and restaurants. Bob was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
The apartment is in a fantastic part of town and convenient to public transit. Robert is a generous host and I was able to make myself feel at home. The bed is firm, which I like. The bathroom is a little outdated but absolutely functional. I would definitely stay at this place again.
We had a great stay in Chicago thanks to Robert. My husband ran the Chicago marathon - the apartment was a perfect oasis away from all of the hooplah downtown. We were able to relax before and after the race. The neighborhood is awesome and perfectly located. It has a great community feel and gives you an idea of some of the folks of Chicago - this is what I love best about AirBnB. We got to know a side of Chicago we wouldn't have known by staying in a hotel. Thanks again Robert. We'll see you next time!
Wonderful location, close to everything, very comfortable accommodation. Bob was very friendly, laid back and helpful. We had a great stay. Thank you Bob and Olivia.
The apartment is very well located, in an area with a lot of restaurants and close to the subway and many bus lines. I would certainly recommend staying in the neighborhood. The house is full with personal items and the main bed (double one) is very hard. Some people might like it that way. There was no shampoo/shower cream in the bathroom so we had to buy it. Communication with Bob been just enough. I would have appreciated a little more details on how to lock the door or use the Internet instead of having to find out myself and wait 2 days for a reply to my email asking. Also we were promised vouchers for a local restaurant but they never materialized... Overall we loved Chicago and we had a good stay in the house but we feel that with a little more customer care and effort it could have been much better..
Perfect location! Nice apartment with ample space and parking. The only 2 items to mention are that the master bed is incredibly FIRM and there were many personal effects in the apartment (i.e. medication, clothing, family photos) that made it feel a little awkward. That may be something specific to my preferences, but worth noting. Robert was quick to respond and very helpful throughout our stay and if weren't for my personal needs for a softer bed I would rent again!
Great location, comfortable apartment, beautiful tree-lined street and Robert was very easy to deal with. I especially appreciated the late check-out time on Sunday as my flight didn't leave until 5pm. The apartment has comfy furniture, wifi, nice linens and pillows, and is very clean. Includes parking space, which I'm told is a big deal! Also a front stoop with bench, shady back yard, and friendly neighbors.
My only comment would be that the windows don't really open to let fresh air in (they have storm windows). There is a window A/C in the living room and a ceiling fan in the kitchen that we had going the whole time but don't know how effective they would be in hot, muggy weather (we had perfect weather, about 80 degrees, sunny and dry).
Thanks, Robert and Olivia!
First, Bob was amazing to work with - he was welcoming, gave great suggestions, and was very communicative throughout the process. He made our first trip with our 10 month old easy!
The neighborhood simultaneously has a lot to do and is very quiet; it made for the perfect combination in Chicago.
