My stay at Hope and Angella's house has been nothing short of fantastic. I have been wonderfully hosted, made to feel extremely welcome and would highly recommend their accommodation to anyone considering a visit to Kampala. The accommodation itself is extremely clean and comfortable, with a good sized desk, ensuite toilet, and double bed (with mosquito net) in the room I have stayed in and a well-equiped kitchen, outside patio and living area to relax in. The accommodation is situated in the area of Ntinda, which is conveniently located near a supermarket, banks and other essential amenities. Travelling to other areas of Kampala from here is also extremely easy. The accommodation is quiet and I have felt extremely safe and secure while staying here. I thank my hosts for their kindness and help and would recommend anyone looking for a place in Kampala to look no further, We'lo House has everything you will need!
I had an absolutely wonderful time at We'lo House. Hope and Angella created an unbelievably warm and comfortable environment. When I first arrived in Africa, I was very tired and slightly lonely, but this house was such a safe, cozy space that I came to just love coming home and greeting their little dog, and relaxing using their very reasonably priced wifi. The Kangaroo Room is particularly nice because it started to feel like my own little house. For squeamish people like myself, I would also like to highlight the fact that I did not see a single scary bug, or mosquitos or anything like that in the Kangaroo Room. I just kept my door closed and kept my space clean, and Hope and Angella's house helper did a very excellent cleaning job while I was there as well. They also provide bottled cooler water, again for a very reasonable price, that made life a lot easier than having to buy gallons and gallons of drinking water.
I want to thank from the deep of my heart Hope and Angella for the hospitality, the kindness and the patience they had with me during my period of staying in the We'Lo house. From the first to the last day of permanence I felt like in my own family: they helped me in every difficulties, making my experience unique and unforgetable! The house is really confortable, spacious and clean but, once again, humanity is the main feature that distinguishes it from a normal place. I would recommend We'Lo house to everyone is interested in getting a friendly and safe experience in Kampala: with the help of these two well-bred ladies I am sure you will never regret the choice!
Hope and Angella have been fantastic hosts! THEY have made our time in Uganda better than we could have imagined from the minute we arrived at the airport. They stayed up late to ensure we got to their home safely, and helped direct the airline when our bags arrived two days later. Their house is lovely, clean, and very comfortable. It's great to have a kitchen to cook in, help with the laundry, and even a little dog to play with. Hope, Angella, Joy, and JB have been great company and sources of information and guidance. They have all been super gracious - Hope let us rent her car for the day, which made our day-long trip a lot easier, and Angella lets us join her on her commute to work into the city! Overall, the stay has been really wonderful! We will definitely recommend We'lo house to other visiting medical folks.

I am a christian - love God & people - people person would describe me. But I have an introvert nature that comes out more often. Although am a scientist by training, am an artist by love, heart, birth etc. Love poetry & prose in competing measure! I write alot - whether its publishable is something I haven't explored yet - maybe bacause as one friend pointed out - am an impulsive writer thus write too close to the subject...
Angella: A medical doctor and graduate student of family medicine at Makerere university College of Health Sciences.A city girl at heart that enjoys community practice and travels moderately to rural settings. I am passionate about volunteer work with orphans and disadvantaged children. I am a scientist at heart but do have a creative side with interest in interior design, music and world travel. I love meeting and interacting with people from different parts of the world because as we know, variety is the spice of life !
