Our place is a tidy and spacious one bedroom apartment on a beautiful tree lined street in one of the most convenient neighborhoods in Brooklyn. You get the whole apartment to yourselves (there are no other housemates or animals). We live in Boerum Hill, surrounded by many excellent restaurants, shops, markets and bars. Our place has wood floors, high tin ceilings, wireless internet, a large eat-in kitchen, and air conditioning.
Our neighborhood is situated right in between Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Fort Green, and Park Slope; a five minute walk will get you to any of these neighborhoods. It is also a nice walk to the Brooklyn Promenade, and the waterfront parks in Dumbo. We are close to the newly built Barclay's Center, home to the Brooklyn Nets and site of many concerts and sports events. Our neighborhood is clean, family friendly, and filled with activities. Our place is a few blocks away from A, B, C, D, 2, 3, 4, 5, F, G, N, R, & Q trains. A look at the map shows all the train stations near our place- because we are so close to so many subway lines, it is a very quick trip into almost anywhere you want to go in Manhattan, and because of train routing, it is actually sometimes more convenient than getting places from within Manhattan. It's usually possible to get anywhere you want to go without having to transfer subways.
There is no smoking allowed in the apartment, but we have a great stoop out front where one is welcome to smoke. We prefer that guests not bring pets, but could consider a pet with an increased damage deposit. We appreciate if guests take out the trash and recycling upon leaving- there are bins outside in front of the building for each. More details about the house will be sent after a booking is made.
I had a great stay for the month of January at Khaela and Melissa's apartment. Everything was as described and they made the whole process really easy! I liked the neighborhood a lot and it was great being so close to so many different subway lines.
The neighborhood is very nice with little great places to eat and buy food. The subway station is very close as well. The lace itself was clean and comfortable.
Great location, very near to 3 subway station!! great neighborhood, with a lot of pub, diner, shops. The apartment was spacious, clean, handy, the heating play well.
We loved our stay..
Thank you Melissa and Khaela, it was a great experience!!
We really recommend this place!!
Melissa was extremely communicative and helpful leading up to and throughout our trip, which we really appreciated. The apartment was bright, spacious, and lovely, with an unexpectedly large eat-in kitchen and an awesome and rare-for-Brooklyn shower with great water pressure and plentiful hot water. It was simply a perfect, homey space to be in and come home to at the end of the day. We loved the location and its proximity to the A/C and G trains, as well as the F, and all of the great food and shopping in Boerum Hill and Carroll Gardens. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much!
This place was perfect. I loved my stay there and felt so instantly at home. The apartment has everything you need and is conveniently located. Cute shops and restaurants nearby, the subway about a block away, and nestled between lots of great neighborhoods. The hosts were very sweet and made sure I got in okay and had everything I needed. I would absolutely stay there again.
Melissa made checking in very hassle free, which meant we could unwind and begin enjoying Brooklyn almost straight away.
Her apartment is located in a great part of Brooklyn that is conveniently situated close to many great shops and restaurants.
Inside, the apartment was very charming and comfortable, with all the necessities one might need. It was a great place to return to after a day out or just to chill inside.
I'd love to stay at Melissa's place again.
Great place. Very clean. Super cute. Nice and quiet. Extremely comfortable bed. And the location is fantastic - near great restaurants, shops and the subway.
We are two artists. We make performances and installations, and frequently travel around the country and abroad for our work. We love living in New York, and taking advantage of all that it has to offer (or as much as we can manage to see, since you could never see it all). We are happy to be able to offer our place to others while we are away.
