Carlo and his family were the most welcoming hosts. Carlo met us near the highway exit and took us to his parents' home. Their property is located in the mountains near Lake Trasimeno and is simply beautiful. The whole property is well taken care of and so was the apartment: very neat, cozy, nicely decorated with a new bathroom and kitchen and the most stunning view on the lake from the large sun deck. I was able to enjoy the fresh fruit and vegetables from the family's garden and savoured every minute of my stay at the villa.
You will have the possibility to use the family's bikes and explore some of the bike routes around lake Trasimeno. The property is perfectly located to visit some of Tuscany's and Umbria's most ancient and charming cities or villages. This property is a real treasure and I am very happy I had the opportunity to stay there!
A hidden gem in the Umbria region bordering Tuscany. Located on top of a hill overlooking Olive trees and Lake Trasemeno. We had an amazing time. Gorgeous views, gourmet kitchen, air conditioning, wifi, amazing bathroom and much more! Carlo and his family treated us like royalty. Picking us up from the train station, helping us rent a car and giving us great tips on what to visit in both Tuscany and Umbria. We stayed three nights but wish we could have planned for more. I would highly recommend this location for couples or a small family. it truly is a hidden gem that must be a place to stay during your trip to the wine regions of Italy! Thank you Carlo!
