Vintage/mid century modern/organic minimalist apartment, filled with lots of light and botanicals. Fully heritage (built in 1908!) and central to all the great neighborhoods in Victoria
Large furnished 1 bedroom apartment in a bright character suite right at Oak Bay Junction, on the borderlands of Fernwood and a 20 minute walk to the downtown core. Probably the best access to public transportation (right on the # 15, # 14, #11 and #2 bus routes) in the city, close to grocery stores, pharmacies, and cafes. Free on-street parking.
The decor is mid-century modern/vintage, original art meets thrift shop finds and oddities. This building was built around 1890, so there is quite a bit of shabby chic 'charm', including warped floorboards and an old farmer sink that has started to corrode. The bathroom tub is also a bit dubious, a previous tenant spilled paint in there. Sorry about the complaining! but just want to be honest about the 'lowlights'.
The highlights, however, include huge windows, hardwood floors, fresh paint, character moldings, memory foam queen sized bed, fully equipped kitchen, high speed internet/netflix/heat/hot water/hydro included. I have towels and fresh linens.
You can smoke out the window. Absolutely no loud partying, we have thin floors.
Thanks for looking, hope to have the pleasure of meeting you!
Please, if you use it, turn off the phantom toaster oven! There is a ghost who turns it on randomly and it gets VERY HOT.
The place was great! Cute as can be and Amy was so nice. We were in and out- would have loved to stay in Victoria longer.
Amy's place was a sanctuary. clean, cozy and full of character, although the apartment building itself is quite run down in a not so endearing way. She did a really good job at making a place this old look really cool.
The place is further away from downtown Victoria than I expected. You would have to walk for about 25 minutes to get to the more interesting neighbourhoods, though you can take a bus from a stop situated right in front of the place that takes you to downtown.
Amy's apartment was clean, full of sunlight, thoughtfully decorated, and in a great location – out of the bustle of downtown, but still super close, and well connected by buses in every direction. My boyfriend and I only spent one night here, but we enjoyed the sense of history and charm in every part of this apartment.
It was great to be in Victoria again! The flat was clean, comfortable and friendly and nicely located in the city!
Amy was a wonderful host! She was very responsive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. Amy's apartment was bright, cozy, and centrally located. Thanks Amy!
Appartement impeccable, lumineux, spacieux et bien situé (accessoirement chouette déco également). Amy est très disponible et fait preuve d’agréables attentions. Je recommande !
Indeed, just like in the pictures! We had a great time and it was very lovely to meet Amy!
