It will be a pleasure for me if I can show you the real Turkish hospitality and if you feel comfortable in my home.
ABOUT MY HOME:
It's an extremely comfortable, sunny, 3+1, 140 m² apartment which exactly has everything you need. It's on the fifth floor with an elevator and it has two bedrooms, one bathroom, air conditioners which are in one bedroom and in the living room, a balcony with foliage views (if you need you can smoke in the balcony), lots of closet space, a large living area and a kitchen. It has wooden floors in the house and receives tremendous sunlight during the day. I have wireless high speed unlimited internet connection, professional hair dryer, TV, record player, water pipe. The kitchen is equipped with a marble counter top, a full size refrigerator, a cooker, a kettle, a microwave, cupboard space for storage and enough cookware/dishware for entertaining. You can cook, make Turkish coffee by coffeemaker, or cook Japanese-style rice by Japanese rice cooker. Drinking water is free. You can use sports equipment. Moreover, you can also use whatever you need.
The guest bedroom has a comfortable, clean double size (140×200 cm) and one single size (90×200 cm) real beds, large windows, a closet and an office desk. (All new furniture) I also provide clean towels & sheets. Even if you book the room just one guest or more, it will be your private room and we won't host another guest to your room. There are a lot of wonderful places to see in Istanbul so you can relax after long, tiring days in your quiet room.
LOCATION and THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
I live in Göztepe Minibüs Street which is the safest place in İstanbul. Wealthy and well-educated people would prefer to live here. You will feel the Turkish elite life style in Göztepe. Supermarkets, banks, restaurants, museums, fish bazaar, theaters, opera, movie theaters, pubs, bars are so close and shopping is not expensive. It's a strategic location to go easily to all the places in Istanbul.
If you want to go to Eminönü, Sultanahmet, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Spice Bazaar, Galata Tower, Topkapı Palace, Dolmabahçe Palace, Princes' Islands, you can use bus for 10 minutes to Kadıköy, and ferry ride with a great Bosphorus view for 20 minutes.
If you want to see Bağdat Street which has so many shopping centers, Kalamış Marina for yachts, Fenerbahçe, Caddebostan Beach for swimming, beach volley and pubs, you can walk 20 minutes on a nice view streets and beautiful flower gardens.
You can go to Kadıköy by bus or minibus in 10 minutes and you can use the metrobus to Atatürk airport, metro (underground), ferry, cable railway, bus to everywhere. You can always go to Taksim by yellow minibuses in 15 minutes. I will give some tips for shortcuts.
Come, stay and take good memories with you to your home :)
- Enjoy your room during your stay, feel yourself at home and also keep it clean.
- If you have any allergies, please let me know.
- Smoking is allowed in the balcony as long as the door is closed while doing so.
- The building is relatively quiet so please respect the neighbors and keep the noise down at night.
- Except the guests, nobody can enter to the house because of the security reasons.
- The shared spaces of the house must be kept clean and neat after used, including the kitchen.
-You should leave bathroom door open when not in use (so we know it is free) and please don't spend so much time inside the bathroom cause sometimes we are in a hurry.
- You should permit to take your ID photo the moment you arrive at our place because of the security reasons.
- We don't use shoes in the flat.
- Thank you for your understanding.
"The world is full of nice people, Chari and Anna are one Of them. For my 1st Airbnb experience i had the chance to Be hosted by them. Goztepe is a very very Nice place with Nice people and authentic flavours Of turkish hospitality. I enjoyed the taste of his homemade bread for breakfast. Across the bosphore by ferry is a wonderful experience. Chari was very available for me, a real Friend, i Will come back at Chari and Anna ´s place for my next trip to Istanbul.
We had a great time at Chari and Anna's place. The room was comfortable, just as it looks in the pictures. The neighbourhood is great, a bit far from the centre, but quiet and authentic, for those seeking a less touristy experience. There are many nice restaurants nearby, the sea is also within walking distance, and there is a nice path there for walking.
Chari is a great host, always eager to help and give information about Istanbul, and makes an excellent breakfast!
This was my first Airbnb experience and I'm so glad that I found this listing and met Chari and Anna. I felt very welcome and relaxed and enjoyed some good experiences like yoghurt and cake making - thank you.
The room and apartment are as described, the place is very calm and quiet, and very clean and tidy, too. I was made to feel at home and given space to do what I needed to do. The room is bright and sunny, with lots of light.
Chari always took time to offer detailed advice and info, and transport help where needed, and advised me on a few places to eat, which were good recommendations.
The area is well connected by Istanbul's excellent transport network and it's possible to walk along the coast - about 15-20 mins walk away, which I did regularly. I also felt safe walking about 9-10pm in the area and there are places to eat/have coffee and pastries nearby.
A lovely experience, thank you both!
This was my first time using Airbnb and Chari and Anna made it a pleasant one. The room is large and comfortable (and warm in winter) and the house is easily accessible from Kadikõy. (Unfortunately the suburban train is not running at the moment, but there is a regular minibus from Kadikõy that is cheap and fast) I enjoyed playing music with Chari, and his home-made bread.
Chari provided everything I needed to feel at home in a strange city. He gave me printed (and annotated) maps of the local area, and a huge guidebook (If I lived in Istanbul for a year I don't think I'd have time to see everything in that guidebook!), and provided me with a travel card for using the public transport.
When I first arrived (at night, in the middle of a snowstorm!) I got a bit lost trying to find the place, but when I called Chari he came out to find me.
This was my first experience with airbnb and i feel so lucky to met with Chari (Çağrı) and Anna. Chari is very nice, hospitable and kind man. Anna and Chari are nice couples. You can stay there in quite comfortable and you can feel so relaxed. They always make me feel at home.I am sure that I'll miss Chari's special tea which has made me feel better :)) Of course the room was so tidy and clean which is bright and has a green view with some trees... Actually i wouldn't expect to find there so easily but as Çağrı wrote on his profile and also told me on phone how to reach there. And it's also very easy to reach other places in the city as you want...Çağrı also helps for it...
Chari and Anna are the most welcoming and genuine hosts you will meet. They are exactly what Turkish hospitality is all about. You will feel at home instantly. The apartment is very clean, spacious and in a lovely neighbourhood. It's a great area in which you can experience the local life of an 'Istanbullu'. I definitely recommend staying here when in Istanbul. Thank you Chari and Anna! Definitely see you both again soon:)
Chari and Anna were great hosts. They make you feel like you are at your home. Everything was looking like what is written in description. Hopefully, I'll visit them in the future.

We live in a beautiful city, Istanbul. We don't smoke. We enjoy playing musical instruments, Aikido, Latin dances, trekking, nature, scuba diving, fishing, cooking and meeting people from different cultures. We've lived in Istanbul for 15 years, so we know the city very well and therefore we can give some assistance on where to go and what to see. We're sure we're offering you home comfort away from home.
