The Space

Very cosy and bright 3 room apartment in a calm and charming street only a few meters away from the urban and lively Vesterbrogade.

THE APARTMENT has a bedroom, toddler room, open kitchen/living room and a bathroom. In the bedroom there is a double bed, closet, armchairs and a working desk. The toddler room has a bunk bed and a lot of interesting toys like Lego, Brio and Spiderman. My son is 4 years old. I can blow up a double air bed upon request. The kitchen and living room are directly connected and most people say that this is what makes the apartment so wonderful to visit. The kitchen is modern with an oven and gas stove, new big fridge, coffee grinder, electric boiler and 'italian style'coffee maker. The living room has a couch, dining table for 4 people, cable tv (CNN, BBC) and a 50 MB wifi connection. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and a washing machine.

LOCATION is amazing. On one side is Vesterbrogade with a variety of shopping opportunities, supermarkets, cafes, good restaurants from the whole world, great playgrounds, pizzarias (best in town), international groceries, bars and kiosks. The apartment is located only 15 minutes walk from the Central Station and Tivoli, at the lovely and popular Vesterbro area - and the bus lines 6A and 3A stop just a few meters from the flat. On the other side you will find Pile Allé which takes you to the green, historic and posh part of Frederiksberg. Here you will find a traditional bakery, Danish lunch restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. Pile Allé also directs you to Frederiksberg Garden and the zoo. There are many supermarket close to the flat, the nearest ("Fakta") is just around the corner.

I have a new Samsung 32" flat screen with cable tv with both Danish (DR, TV2 etc), internatinal (CNN, Discovery etc) and children´s channels (CN, Disney).

It would be a pleasure for me to be your host and offer my cozy flat for your stay in wonderful Copenhagen:-) I look forward to hearing from you!

Guest Access

Very trustworthy and fast (50mBit) internet, free to use of course. 32" flat screen with ca. 30 Danish and International channels.

Interaction with Guests

When it suits both me and my guests I like to offer a cup of coffee or tea with and bring out a map and tell something about the area and the city. I usually ask what plans or interests my guests might have. Give tips on places to visit, restaurants to go to and so on. It´s a great way of meeting and introducing my guests to the city. When we have talked I leave the flat to to my guests and is available on text message or mail for the rest of their stay.

Getting around

Very good public transportation. My street is a very stop itself on the "bus 6A line" that will take you to the center, Tivoli, and a lot of other central located attractions. "Bus 3A line" is also a very good line and has a stop only 50 meters away from my flat.

  • The apartment is clean, lovely and charming in the great area-a proper Copenhagen apartment :) It is only few minutes walking distance from Central Station, Tivoli, Meat Packing District, city center...So thwre is actually no need to use public transportantion, but for those who dont like walking, there is a bus stop (for bus 6A) infront of the building, which is also a plus.
Fredrik was really a great host, wellcoming and easy to talk to. He gave us great tips about local bars and areas we should see. We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment and Copenhagen.
I recommend this apartment and his great host to everyone

  • We had a fabulous Copenhagen experience, all the better for the friendly welcome we received from Frederik. His communication and advice is terrific. The flat is a lot of fun, filled with character, helpful kitchen items and lots of toys for our daughter to play with. We greatly appreciated all on offer and found it quiet and peaceful yet surrounded by many great restaurants and bars and with easy transport to the centre of town.

  • Frederik's place was great! The location is fantastic, you're at a walking distance from Indre By, Norrebro, etc. The area has two major supermarkets and Frede's kitchen was packed with all the basics if you like cooking: olive oil, all sorts of spices, pans&pots...Plus, Frederick was a great host and he welcomed and gave us tons of suggestions for the city.

  • We had a great stay at Frederik's home! Frederik was excellent in maintaining prompt and clear communication with us and was very flexible. We ended up having a friend join us for one night at the last minute and Frederik was very accommodating. The flat is very large and comfortable and the location is unbeatable. Within walking distance of tons of great bars/restaurants/cafes and a very short walking distance from the train station. The use of Frederik's wifi was very helpful to assist us with organizing our plans in the city.
The only drawbacks were that the apartment had a bit of a cigarette smoke smell (for those who are sensitive to that) and the way the building is structured (with a concrete courtyard) means that if you keep the bedroom window open at night the sounds of the neighbors bounce of the concrete and can disturb your sleep. We figured it out after a couple days and just used ear plugs and were fine. Additionally, people who have a lot of luggage should also be aware that the flat is up four flights of stairs. However, all said and done, very convenient location and a very accommodating host!

  • Frederik's apartment is perfect for a stay in Copenhagen! The location is great, the area is quiet and nice with lots of restaurants and some supermarkets within a few minutes walking distance. You can also walk into the center. The apartment has everything you need and Frederik is a superb host. He is very friendly and helpful, the communication was great and he's very flexible with check in/check out. We were travelling with our little daughter, for whom it must have been like heaven with all the toys from Frederik's son in the apartment. It was a pleasure to stay at Frederik's apartment and if coming back to Copenhagen, we'll ask him first, for sure! :-)

  • Frederik is a very openminded and friendly host. We liked staying at his place. The apartment is very good located. We took a taxi from the central station of Copenhagen, but returning we just walked to the station. We also could use his bikes at a very friendly price.
He also gave us a lot of good advice.

  • We liked Vesterbro quarter, discovered a good Pakistani-restaurant. Taking bus 6A to the center was very comfortable. We appreciated that the bedroom goes to the courtyard and therefore is calm.

My name is Frederik. I have been living in Copenhagen for 20 years, and know both my neighborhood and the rest of Copenhagen pretty good. I have a 3 years old son, and when renting out my cozy 3 room/70 square meters apartment on one of Vesterbro´s best locations I live in my little house on Amager. I practice yoga, run, have an active life. I can also guide a bit and will be happy to assist you with any questions that you might have. I like to think of my guests as my friends visiting the city - and I´m happy when my guests have felt that way after staying in my place:-)
