A lovely bright apartment placed right in the heart of the old town, on the top floor of a historic building in the "Decumano maggiore" (one of the three main street of the Roman city). There’s no elevator, but 123 low steps divided in short flights (except for the last one).
The flat consists of a living room with a well equipped cooking corner, a double room from where you reach the bathroom with shower, a large loft with a sofa which is also a pull-out double bed and a wonderful private roof-terrace with a very beautiful view on the whole city (from "Castel Sant’Elmo" and the "Certosa di San Martino" to the Vesuvio, to the port, all nestled among the domes and the bell towers of the innumerable churches of the old town).
Just a few minutes (or better, 123 steps! ) from all the most famous sights:
"Via S. Gregorio Armeno" (the street of the cribs), the beautiful Gothic Church of S. Lorenzo, "Napoli Sotterranea" (Underground Naples), the Renaissance "Pontano" Chapel with the nearby Romanesque bell tower of"Pietrasanta", the "Sansevero" Chapel with its impressive Veiled Christ, "Piazza San Domenico Maggiore" with the homonymous church, "Spaccanapoli" street with the Church of Santa Chiara and its cloister tiled with majolica, "Piazza del Gesù Nuovo", "Port'Alba" with its ancient bookshops, "PiazzaDante" with the stop of the new metro line designed by Gae Aulenti and part of the "art stations circuit", the prestigious Conservatory of "San Pietro a Majella" with the nearby church, "Piazza Bellini" where you can find the ruins of the ancient Greek city wall and a variety of fashion literary cafes, Bellini theater, the National Archaeological Museum, the Cathedral and San Gennaro's Treasure .
On the "Decumano maggiore" you can find a lot of the most renowned pizzerias and many little restaurants where you can enjoy, with a few money, a good pizza and a typical Neapolitan food.
In a few words, if you choose this accomodation, you’ll taste the bustling life of an ancient city center declared Humanity heritage by UNESCO and, at the same time, a relaxing atmosphere when you stay on the roof-terrace.
Don't loose the opportunity to live the same unique experience which inspired the Neapolitan writer Fabrizia Ramondino, who lived in this apartment for several years, to write some of her most beautiful books!
The apartment is equipped with kitchenware, bed linen, pillows and towels for each guest.
It’s the ideal flat for 4 people or for 2 couples of friends with no problems to enter the bathroom from the bedroom.
There’s the possibility to host two people more using the other sofa bed in the living room, but this is good only for a family with three or four children because the apartment is not so large to host five or six adults.
There’s also the possibility to park a car of a small size in the courtyard of the building but it has to be arranged because of the recent difficult admission to the city center for non-resident population (Limited Traffic Zone).

The flat is nice and very well organized with an amazing roof top from which you can observe any side of Naples
Paola Greated us very well and gave us all the flexibility needed
If you add the charm of the Napolitan People and the city you get a dreamt stay
Thank you Paola we will come back to your place
Very convenient apartment, perfect location in the heart of Naples.
Amazing view from the terrace !
A few steps away in the same street of a very good pizzeria (Sorbillo) and of one of the only 2 organic shops in Naples.
The host is very helpful.
I strongly recommend this place !
for me, it was so so so good.
thank you for Paola.
Although our stay in Naples was only for a few days, it suited 4 ladies traveling through Italy perfectly.
Pros: Location, location, location! Couldn't be in a better spot to walk around and see everything. Walk out your door and there's Sorbillo's!!! Two floors for more privacy, 3 double beds, fully equipped kitchen, and of course the Panoramic View of Naples experienced on the terrace!
Cons: Be careful with too many electrical appliances plugged in at once!
The doors are sometimes are very tricky to open.
The endless stairs to the top floor is insanely brutal with luggage but once you see the terrace view you get because of it, you forget the pain.
One tiny bathroom in the master bedroom was tough for 3 girls getting ready.
All in all, we enjoyed Paola's apartment and would recommend it primarily because of our 3 most important criteria: Location, sleep space and low cost. A hidden gem in Naples!
Thank you, Paola!!!
Great location, fantastic view, nice flat. Paola was kind enough to allow us to check-in early and check out late so it was super convenient for us, thanks ! And the photos don't show it, but the flat is located in a beautiful old palace. My best experience with AirBnB so far
Being opposite the towns most popular pizzeria is a bit of a blessing and a curse - the local pizza is well worth the hype, but the crowds at night weren't so enjoyable.
Paola's place has a wonderful rooftop terrace to get away from the grit and noise of Naples' streets and the 360 degree views of local churches and Mt Vesuvius are worth considering this place alone.
It's s tough walk from the train with a couple of heavy bags, but you can't blame Paola for the cobble stones!
