I have a private room available in my apartment. The room is suitable for one person.
You will have full use of all other facilities including wireless internet. In the bathroom there is a washing machine and a clothes dryer. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The kitchen has a cosy eating area, a gas stove, a fridge & a microware, plus all cooking utensils & equipment.
The lounge has heating, a TV & a DVD player. Off the lounge is a small balcony with a pleasant view over Kew.
Kew is one of Melbourne's older established suburbs where you will find banks, good coffee shops and several restaurants all within walking distance of the apartment.
If self catering is your style Kew offers an excellent selection of fresh food options in the local shops. You can park your car in Pakington, just ask me for the "Resident's Permit".
Travel to the CBD can take 20-40 min, depending on time of day. The 48 tram, at the end of Pakington Street (a 3-5 minute walk) will take you into the city via Bridge Road (clothes shopping), the MCG & Melbourne Park.
From the Kew Junction you can take the 109 tram that travels to the CBD via Victoria Street where there are numerous Vietnamese restaurants.
A bus from the Kew Junction gives you access to Brunswick Street, the Italian restaurants of Lygon Street and the CBD.
Kate was a wonderful hostess and made me very welcome. She was an engaging conversationalist and we had some great chats in-between both our busy schedules. Her name lace is very clean , safe and quiet. The only issue that I would mention is that her place is up three
Kate is a very friendly and elegant hostess. Her place is cozy and on a very good location. I have had a very good experience during my stay.
Es war alles Bestens. Gute Lage, nur 100 m zur Straßenbahn, 20 min ins Stadtzentrum. Großes Vertrauensverhältnis zwischen Kate und mir. War mehrere Tage auch alleine in der Wohnung. Man konnte alles benützen. Für Melbourne gut geeignet.
Great stay! Clean and cozy room in a suburb very close to the city center. Unfortunately didn't get to spend much time with Kate, but I experienced her as a nice and helpful lady. Would definitely stay with her again, just consider that the last tram from the city center to her place runs around midnight.
Kate is very hospitable. The room is quiet, clean and comfortable. Grocery shopping, Restaurants, Trams are nearby. Not very far from CBD. She is a wonderful host respecting guest's privacy. Strongly recommended. Thanks Kate.
The living experience is quite nice. The room is quiet, clean and comfortable. The location is convenient, easy to CBD. Kate is very hospitable, she has helped me arranged the travel, and shared her valuable experience about bush walking. I really enjoyed the chats with Kate. Strongly recommended.
I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet and convenient place. The unit is located in a nice and quiet area and close to everything. It takes 20 minutes from CBD by tram. Grocery stores, chemists and lots of restaurants are within walking distance. The room is spacious with a large desk and nice view from the window. Kate always keeps the place super clean and tidy. She is a wonderful host respecting guest's privacy but offers kind help when needed. I spent very pleasant time throughout the 2 week stay.
I live in a quiet block of apartments & work fulltime.
My interests are travel, films, books, watching tennis, current affairs & bush walking. My 3 children have left home, my daughter lives in Brisbane, one son in Melbourne & the other in Hong Kong.
