Welcome to the Carpathian Cottage, in the heart of Transylvania. If you're looking for your next nature escape, a calm outdoor holiday or perhaps you simply want the perfect getaway from the stress of everyday life, you've come to the right place.

The space
The house is a traditional wooden home which has been modernized inside while still maintaining its classic look. There are four beds in the house: two king size beds in the open attic and two single beds in the living room which also act as sofas during the day.

There's also a dining room, a kitchen with dishwasher and refrigerator, a full bathroom with a washing machine and two wood-burning heaters.

Guest access
When renting the Carpathian Cottage, you are renting the complete house and its property, which includes a large piece of land that has an area for making a campfire, a covered outdoor dining room and a wooden platform in the trees to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

Other things to note
The cottage is located 2km up a hill, along a newly built concrete road, from the main village of Bulzestii de Sus. In winter and if snow, a 4x4 vehicule may be needed for this last part of the road (if you don t have one I ll get you up the hill with my own 4x4 free of charge). The last 100m to the house is on foot. I live on a separate property, 5 min away so I'll be close by if you need anything.

Optional activities, day trips and pickup/drop-off service from nearby bus or train stations and airports are also available.

I used to work in finance in a french multinational but that, although a great life experience, didn't really bring me the fulfillment and satisfaction I wanted for myself. So I bought and renovated this old house in a remote and wild area of Romania, a lifelong dream. I don't expect to change the world, I just want to bring a bit of happiness in your life, when renting this property, and making my own simpler, stress free and closer to nature in the process.
