  • We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The location was PERFECT! Walking distance to everything. Mari also gave us some excellent recommendations for food. We loved 4Leoni. (website hidden) I would make a reservation to be safe. This was one of our best meals while in Italy. Some people left reviews about the street being noisy. This was not a problem for us at all. Italians do stay up late so you should too :) Enjoy the patio view. I hope to be able to return to Florence and would without a doubt stay here again.

    Response from Marì & Betty:

Thanks Danielle! I'm really glad you liked your stay and I'm happy you tried to take part to the Italian traditions and customs!!! hope you'll be back!

  • We spent 5 fabulous days in Florence staying at Mari&Betty's apartment. The apartment is really nice, even more spacious then you can see on photos. All the equipment at the apartment is new and work properly.
The location is also great, in central Florence. Ideal for sightseeing, shopping, gourmet experiences... Everything is really close by.
Mari and Betty are great people, we were pleased to meet. They met us at the entrance right on time, showed everything and gave few advices about the city, everything is a very nice and positive manner.
I can highly recommend this apartment!

  • Marì was waiting for us outside when we arrived, so getting the keys and into the flat was a breeze. Marì even offered us a welcoming snack with one bottle of wine and one of olive oil (maybe due to our visit over Christmas), and was very helpful and attentive with everything we needed.

The flat is spacious, has a great living room view, and is reasonably well-equipped (not too many appliances should be used at once, however). The location is, obviously, perfect for all the city sightseeing you want to do (even Piazzale Michelangelo is within walking distance, not to mention all the attractions within the old part, and only a short walk from the S.M.N. train station). Being central, however, street noise does travel inside, which is probably normal for the area. Having many decent restaurants just around the corner, and within a short walk, is a definite advantage (Marì was great with recommendations, also Il Santo Bevitore (website hidden) is a top-notch resto which requires reservations).

  • My friend Kate and I were delighted to find this apartment exactly as described. Both bedrooms were comfortable and spacious for our week-long stay. Having two bathrooms was such an added luxury and made getting ready or winding down from each full day very easy - giving us both privacy. This is a great location and the views from the windows over the Arno are so wonderful. Mari was very helpful in booking this apartment and cheerfully greeted us with gifts in hand - so thoughtful &generous. I would love to visit Florence again and stay here. It is really a great home away from home. Thank you Mari!

  • I had a very difficult stay here. Its so noisy at night we had to cut our losses and find another apartment after 3 sleepless nights.

The flat is located on a very beautfil but very noisy corner of Florence.

I used ear plugs and even slept on the couch. After 3 sleepless nights I got sick from lack of sleep and had to find a quieter apartment. This cost me a significant amount of extra cash.

The host was accomodating, the view and the flat are gorgeous but if you're not good with loud noise at night avoid this apartment altogether.

  • A beautiful apartment with an even more beautiful view! We loved our stay. It is a great location and very easy to get to everything we wanted to see. The gelato shop downstairs was wonderful and I probably visited it too much. :-)

It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday night outside the bedrooms because of the bar across the street. Bring earplugs.

  • Marì was terrific in advance communications and then greeted us with enthusiasm and even really warmly acknowledged the occasion of our travel which was very thoughtful of her. She oriented us really well - she'd be fun to hang out with!

The Arno view and small terrace was what drew us to this apartment in the listing, and arriving did not disappoint when we arrived middle of the day, and as night fell, the view seriously took my breath away. Sunrises over the Ponte Vecchio were lovely too!

The apartment was nicely spacious for two of us, would be great also for two couples. Marì was very apologetic about a WIFI equipment changeover in the building and was diligent in efforts to get service back for us. Noise is moderate during the day, to be expected with location directly at the Ponte Carraia. There is a popular club right there too, and the crowd spills out into the street below the window, so either join the youthful party, or be sure to have earplugs to sleep.

The apartment is perfectly equipped - nice array of candles and wine and champagne glasses and espresso machine and espresso percolator and what more do you need? The apartment is immaculate and uncluttered, calming. Location is very central, being by the river really helped orient us and it was fun and easy to traverse the Carraia or the Trinita or Ponte Vecchia several times a day as we explored. Don't miss Bitter Bar if you like creative cocktails, the two young gentleman owners are behind the bar and clearly love what they do - try the one they call "Burn Identity". And the Impronta Cafe was fantastic, creative menu, somewhat upscale but yet fun vibe, make sure to taste the pepper biscuits in the bread basket (they look like tortellini but more of a cracker) - best we've ever had, better even than great-grandma's (shhh).

The Firenze Card was well worth it, and don't miss the Baptistery, and while you are visiting David at the Accademia be sure to see the Pieta that sits very nearby.

We hope to come back, maybe with our kids, or maybe not! Thank you Marì and Betty for such a memorable and romantic stay in Firenze!

  • Mari & Betty's apartment was beautiful and in the perfect location in Florence to see all of the sights. Mari was very helpful during check in and provided us with excellent restaurant and activity recommendations for our 4 days in Florence.

We would definitely stay in this apartment again next time we visit Florence!

  • The location is amazing. The apartment is located facing the river and at night the site is gorgeous. Mari met us at the apartment and showed us everything we needed to know. The apartment is large with two bedrooms and two large bathrooms which are clean and wonderful to use after a day of walking. The apartment was equipped with everything you would need to cook and wash clothes if you decided to do so. We didn't hear the bar crowd but heard the trash trucks. But that's what it's like to live amongst the people in any city and we loved it.The apartment is at the Ponte alla Carraia, a short 5 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio which leads you to all the museums and sites you want to see. I definitely would return to Florence and stay at Mari's and Betty's apartment.

  • One word: Amazing. The location, the gelato downstairs, the view, the space, kitchen, etc. Mari was super helpful with recommendations on local restaurants (My Wife and I fully utilized the tips which turned out to be delicious) and local transportation.

The place was clean, very comfortable, lots and lots of room compared to many of the cramped places we've stayed in before. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a nice table and couch, it was great.

The only slight downside is that, with the big doors and windows open you get a fair amount of traffic noise. That is to be expected though when you're on the corner of a busy street. At night, this was not a problem at all, and really just slight distraction from the beautiful views of the River Arno and great apartment.

I'd book again in a heartbeat, as the sound is really just a price you pay for being in Firenze, and that is a fair trade anytime.
