Unique sunlit loft in prime Clinton Hill location. Fully stocked kitchen and home office/workspace. Newly renovated and decorated with art and antiques from around the world. 1 block to subway, near everything! Read on...
Serene, artsy studio with sleep loft in prime Clinton Hill location - one block from subway, right in the heart of Brooklyn. Great building in converted toy factory. Brick walls, suspended staircase, brand new appliances. Downstairs is 400 SF (kitchen; desk/dining table; sleeper couch; can easily be redecorated as more of a living room if desired) Upstairs is a 200 SF sleep loft with queen bed & super comfy sleeper couch (CAUTION - the loft is approx 5'3" so be ready to duck, and enter at your own risk!).
One flight up to roof deck with Manhattan views.
Can sleep up to 6 (4 in loft + 2 on downstairs sofabed) but prefer no more than 4. Open to long-term rentals for entire space or short-term shares (you would have the loft and access to the whole apartment; I'd reserve the sleep nook above the bathroom). For shares I offer morning meditation, rooftop yoga and breakfast.
Please note the kitchen is strictly vegetarian.
Also note this is a 3rd floor walk up in a beautifully designed building.
NEIGHBORHOOD/TRANSPORTATION: the apartment is a block from the Clinton-Washington C stop in the heart of Clinton Hill. It's on the top floor so quiet and sunny with tree-top views. Right outside the door is literally everything you need - a major supermarket across the street; a specialty food shop on the next block; cafes and restaurants abound. 5 min walk from Vanderbilt Ave (Prospect Heights). 15 min subway ride into the city.
Seeking long term guests starting March 1

Interaction with Guests
I love hosting and am very responsive to guests - happy to be as involved in your stay as you like, or leave you alone to do your thing if you prefer!
Clinton Hill is a crossroads of Brooklyn's best neighborhoods, full of great restaurants, walking distance to the park and museum, and easy 15 min commute to Manhattan
1 block from C train
Other Things to Note
Again, note the loft has a very low ceiling - people generally only use it to sleep and have no issues, but be ready to duck.
Please be respectful of neighbors and quiet in the loft (which is directly over next door neighbor's bedroom!)
This apartment is beautiful, just like in the photos. Everything you need to have a comfortable stay is there. There is a great supermarket just across the street and a very good coffee shop next to it. The subway station for the C train is one block away and it gets you to lower Manhattan in about 15-20 mins, around 40 mins in total to Grand Central.
Adina and her friend Jess, who greeted us when we arrived, are very attentive and responsive and solved any issues we had (kettle not working) very fast, big points for that.
PROS: great host, beautiful apartment, convinient supermarket across the street, beautiful classic neighbourhood full of brownstones, walking distance to Prospect Park.
CONS: no elevator (three flights of stairs), no laundry facilities in the building (although there is a massive laundromat across the street and pick-up and drop-off services nearby) and an easily annoyed neighbour (which wasn't much of a problem, since he was away most of the time we were at the apartment).
All in all, I would recommend the apartment to anyone coming to New York, and specially to anyone looking to explore Brooklyn and everything it has to offer.
Adina's place is the best. It is exactly like the pictures. We were welcomed by Adina's friend, a very nice young person who made sure that everything was perfect and checked on us during our stay.
Adina's place was great and perfect for the four of us. The loft is comfortable, clean, and cozy. Adina's assistant Jessica was great and helpful getting in. The location was nice and in front of a great grocery store (I didn't go but the three others in my group were pretty into it). Definitely recommend this place.
Adina was a wonderful host. She was fast and responsive, and had a wonderful welcome pack ready for us on arrival with great tips for the neighbourhood.
The place itself was exactly like the photographs and exactly like the description. Wonderful high ceilings, well set up kitchen and cosy loft area for sleeping.
We also really enjoyed the neighbourhood - there's a supermarket and wash and fold just over the road, and it's a short walk to the C train and a nice walk down to prospect park.
Highly recommended for long stays and short alike.
My husband and I stayed at Adina's for six weeks while our apartment was under construction. She was friendly and willing to accommodate us last-minute while she was out of town, calling on a friend to prepare the apartment. The neighborhood has great dining, and the rooftop view is magnificent. Unfortunately, there are some inherent drawbacks to the space. (Cramped sleeping loft, loud industrial fan, neighbor who makes you tiptoe through sleeping loft, bar noise on weekends.) And we were surprised by the lack of responsiveness -- days and sometimes weeks -- to basic requests for help with being overcharged; fixing a smoke alarm that blared for hours at a time; and clogged bathroom drains. In the end, it didn't feel like she cared about our experience, and that was a bummer compared to every other AirBnB stay I've had.
Stephanie inquired about an immediate stay at my property as I was about to turn my phone off for a week off the grids in the mountains. Because she was seeking refuge from her flooded home I arranged with friends (also seasoned Airbnb hosts) who had been staying there to clear out and accommodate her. When I returned I did my best to sort out the complicated billing and documentation required by her insurance company, which was delayed because the friend who handled the turnover had listed his own contact information in my absence, so I had never received the initial request. I immediately responded to requests to clear out more of my personal belongings to accommodate Stephanie and her husband's effects. As for the other maintenance requests, I responded immediately by contacting my handyman, who was delayed by a day responding to the job. As for the smoke detector, Stephanie's husband first reported that it was beeping, then told me it had stopped and not to worry about it; when I found out it was an issue again I responded immediately to get my maintenance guy to take care of it (the ceiling is extremely high so needs a professional to access it). Knowing Stephanie was unhappy about my responsiveness I gave her a substantial refund, which I felt more than adequately compensate them.
This property is my home and not primarily an airbnb rental; I take great care about it and am very selective about who I rent it to. I'm very sorry you guys were not satisfied and continue to wish you the best.
We spent five wonderful days in Adina's beautiful Brooklyn loft. We had such a great time: the apartment is so nice and cozy, and perfectly located close to the subway; and there's plenty of restaurants, grocery stores and bars in the area!
Adina is a very kind, friendly and thoughtful host. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, she met us at the apartment when we got there and provided us with lots of useful info about the neighborhood.
We felt at home from the minute we got there and we're all homesick now that we've left - can't wait to come back! :-)
