A very large room (two ambients) with private bathroom, courtyard access, possibility to use kitchen and fridge, dig-tv, air-co. It is cheaper then the other rooms because it is on the ground floor. Of course you will have access to shared areas of the villa:
bed and breakfast in splendid Vesuviana's Villa of 1700. It has three bedrooms with bathrooms, WiFi Internet, air conditioning, car-parking. At guests' disposal: large garden, rooms with antiques furniture, roof solarium. To its proximity to major public transport (Circunvesuviana, bus, metro of the Sea), the B & B Villa San Gennariello is ideal for excursions to Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento, Capri and Ischia, Campi Flegrei. Archaeological excavations of Herculaneum are within walking distance(10 minutes).
Remember: you are booking ONE of the three rooms; if you are looking beds for more than 2 people, please, repeat several times the reservation, in other session (Room #1, #2), until you reach the requested number (maximum 9 people) !!
I really enjoyed my stay at the villa. The family was extremely accommodating and even gave us an upgraded room for the night. The villa was beautiful and the hosts were incredibly gracious and kind. We got great recommendations for places to eat and things to see in the area. It was about 15 minutes from Naples so it was the perfect location to Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. The views from the roof deck are amazing!
Emma and her family have a beautifully restored 300 year old villa that has been in the family for 4 generations. The house itself is worth the visit. Emma & her family were all very helpful, accommodating and professional. While this is their home, it's a working B&B. The room was comfortable & clean and the breakfast room a delight to enjoy a 'typical' Italian breakfast in the mornings. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a treat. Emma accommodated my need for frequent cups of tea too. If you're coming to this area, print out the directions before you come. While it's easy to locate the property once you have been there, the street names are not easy to locate. The GPS data connection didn't work from the Portici train station as it's in a valley & you need to head up the hill to the property. Great central location to visit the sites of the area with only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station.
Amazing house and a very welcoming host! The only regret I have is that we only spend 1 night! Wonderful view from the rooftop and tasty breakfast! Best coffee I had during our roadtrip in Italy!
My friend and I spent one night here after our plans to stay with a friend in Portici fell through at the last minute. It was a lovely room set in a gorgeous grand house and was a very affordable price. I highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Portici/Napoli. Emma and her husband were really welcoming and made us a fantastic breakfast in the courtyard in the morning. Portici itself is a great little town with a lively port and is about half an hour from Naples on the circumvesuvio. This room is a little way back from the port so if you don't have a car it might be slightly difficult to get around. Overall though it was a lovely place with great hosts.
C' Era fantastico di stare ala questa casa molto grande. Come in palazzio! E Emma e una signora tres gentile qui face i collazioni buenissimo. Molto grazie per tutti! Anne e wilbert
We stayed 4 nights in Villa San Gennariello, Portici. It was a wonderful stay, in the first place because of the generous hospitality of Emma Cozzi and her son. They are very friendly and helpful and both speak English.
The house is the former palace of the king of Naples. The Cozzi family owns it now for a couple of generations. When you stay here, you are allowed to sit in the beautiful garden, salon, library and the roofterrace, (where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset).
The villa is only a ten minute walk from the train station, where you can easily travel to Naples, Pompei and the mount Vesivius. Don't forget Herculaneum in Portici istelf, a very interesting archaeological site and not as crowded and better conservated as Pompei.
Every morning we had a delicious full breakfast and when you have to catch an early flight or train Emma makes you an early breakfast, even a take away sandwich for lunch!
