This is a beautiful and cozy house in a quiet residential area. Michael is very helpful with my last minute request. Hope I can meet you in person next time.
The house was beautiful and perfect for our stay. Check-in was super easy. We arrived a little early and had no problem leaving our suitcases until our room way available. The staff Michael had working to help keep the house clean and neat were very friendly and offered us great tips about where to eat in San Diego, La Puerta is highly recommended if you like Mexican food! Everything was easy to walk to, Downtown, the Gaslamp District, Seaport Village and the Zoo (my favorite). Michael provided us with a helpful tip sheet that highlighted certain restaurants and locations that we might want to check out during our stay!
We also stayed in the treehouse one night and that was a fun, unique experience staying in a tree with a beautiful view of the city! The house is in the flight path for sure, I was so surprised at how low the planes were when they flew over head, but the last one passed around 11:30 and the first ones didn't start again until 6am. They were not a problem at all and actually pretty exciting to watch when they flew over.
I highly suggest staying at Michaels house for your next San Diego trip!
We were welcomed by Denise, who was very helpful and informative. She gave us a thorough tour of the house and was very patient with the numerous questions we had about San Diego. Denise told us all about the places we could eat, buy provisions and some of the things to see and do.
Our room was very clean and we were able to have a drink in the lounge as we waited for it to be ready. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is filled with an eclectic range of art from many different cultures. The atmosphere is warm, cosy and inviting; it reminded us of the sets used in the old tv series of Tales of the City - wonderful. The outside spaces are a real bonus and are lit at night, creating a lovely ambience.
One or two things which we feel should be mentioned: the house lies directly under the flight path of every plane entering San Diego airport and planes cross no more than 50 feet above the building, which is initially disconcerting and certainly deafening. However, within a couple of hours our awareness of this faded and we paid scant attention to it thereafter.
All in all, we had a great stay which was only shortened by the fact that our car had to be taken back to AZ. We would certainly book the house again. Thank you, Michael and Denise!
Michaels place was absolutely amazing! The Victorian house had a unique flavor, including a zen living room and 2 outdoor patios. I loved my experience there, especially being able to enjoy dinner amidst a green and lush outdoor patio on a swinging chair. Rooms were clean and spacious, and the bed was so soft and comfortable. On top of that, It was close to the gas lamp district, balboa park, and little italy, less than a $10 uber ride away.
Very nice place at very good location. Michael's instructions were easy to follow upon checking in. Very friendly atmosphere. Would come back again.
The bed was so comfortable I was afraid I might miss my early morning flight! Everything was great--thanks :)
