Elle and Tamira's house was beautifully appointed and situated in a neighbourhood that had a great mix of a residential vibe, with great food, and nightlife options. We were given a quick tour of the house, there was a useful guide and directions manual left for us, and they even had boutique coffee, fresh bread, and some fruits to greet us with.
The place was a blend of modern and clean lines. Art, books, music, and items that referenced different cultures and travels were seen everywhere. We had chosen to stay here to get ready for our wedding, and it was a peaceful, chill, and beautiful environment to start our hectic wedding day in. We only wish we had been able to spend more time enjoying the space and neighbourhood.
Check in and check out was very easy, and we were able to keep in contact with Tamira to coordinate this. She was also on hand to help if we had any questions or issues.
Overall, it was a brief stay that left us wanting more, and we would highly recommend Elle and Tamira's home to anyone wanting to find a unique, convenient, and beautiful place to stay in Toronto.
We had a wonderful stay at Elle's place. The apartment is absolutely to die for. We kept pinching ourselves that we were staying in such an amazing space. Elle was a fantastic host. She was considerate and helpful, providing us with lots of useful information and local tips for exploring the surrounding trendy area, although I wouldn't blame you if don't step foot out the door and just kick back and enjoy the apartment and leafy backyard. Or just enjoy the incredible artwork that adorns the walls. The surrounding area is an art, food and wine lover's paradise and the best shopping strips are just nearby. We walked everywhere, but the streetcars are just outside if you need. It was a holiday that we will not be forgetting in a hurry. Thanks Elle!
We had a wonderful experience, and Elle was an excellent host. She was very communicative, and all of the information we needed regarding the home and neighborhood was readily at hand upon our arrival. The home looks stunning in photographs and even more so in person; it was truly a delight just to lounge in the living room and hang out in the backyard. Elle's place was a perfect home base for exploring the neighborhood, which abounds in great restaurants and night spots within a short walking distance (in some instances directly across the street!). The home was conveniently located for us, in general, in terms of our activities outside of the neighborhood and transportation to the airport. Strongly recommended!
Elle's place is amazing!! Exquisitely designed, sleek, warm, and inviting. It was an absolute honor to spend some time there. And, Elle's team made our stay flawless. Also, the neighborhood is richly layered and very interesting. Can't imagine a better stay in Toronto.
Elle's place was unbelievable! It was the perfect spot to meet our friends for a weekend in Toronto, and the neighborhood was a delight to explore. Everyone in the shops and restaurants seemed to know Elle, and its location right on Dundas Street made getting around the city really easy. It was also perfect for relaxing, listening to music and reading after a long day biking around. Elle was also very understanding when we misinterpreted the checkout time - she communicated quickly and was flexible with our situation. Please stay here if you can!!!
This was the perfect place for our stay for caribana weekend. It was absolutely amazing. Elle was a great host! The direction were easy to follow and she was very attentive to our needs. Her home is beautiful! The decor the bed! I will for sure stay here again if it's available for my next trip!!!
Great deal, great location, great host!
Elle and Tamira's home was perfection. It was the ideal spot for relaxing and entertaining friends, who were all very impressed by our art gallery-like pretend home. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Hi, my partner and I recently finished renovating our place and offer it occasionally to those interested in design, architecture, art and an oasis in Toronto. I'm a filmmaker and artist and my partner is an architect. The place was an old sheet metal shop and we transformed it into a live/work space in downtown toronto. We've been profiled in Dwell Magazine as well as Design Lines and the Stephen and Chris show on CBC. We love to travel and hence share our place with others when we're not here.
