- A livingroom with beautiful kitchen,
- two bedrooms
- a bathroom with whirlpool
- a big roof terrace
- digital TV + cable TV

Ideal for expats, business trips, weekends or longer holidays with two or three people. Also ideal for families. In the extra bedroom it's possible to put a babybed.
On saturdays you watch out over the 'Lapjesmarkt' (the textile market), Holland's biggest and oldest (400 years!)
The Jaarbeurs (exhibition centre) is on a walking distance of 15 minutes).
It's possible to park in the street or around the corner. For free parking I recommend you to park in Tuindorp-Oost, for example 'Boekelaan' or further away from the center. From there you can walk back to the Breedstraat in 15 minutes, of take a bus.

As soon as you step out of the door you're in the city centre, with its unique canals, cellars, cozy restaurants, cafe's, museums and other sights.
I can recommend a few restaurants:
- Restaurant 'de Beleving' (the experience) with nice food and live entertainment with singing waitresses (I worked there).
- Restaurant 'Straks' (means 'Later'). Drieharingstraat 1-3.
- Restaurant Keuken & Deli (Oosterkade 30). As if your dining in a big kitchen. You see the cooks preparing food around you.
We live on the other side of the street and are always available for questions or to make you familiar with Utrecht.
Feel welcome and enjoy!
We loved our time in Utrecht, especially because of Esther's lovely and perfectly situated apartment. Some of the high marks for this choice: Esther's a warm and attentive host; the apartment is on a very charming street corner truly in the heart of things without being over run with people; the sleeping is comfortable-- the bedroom window looks right onto the enormous ancient water tower and if you wake up early enough you can watch the beautiful play of the sunrise off the colorful bricks it is made of. The kitchen is well laid out and well stocked. The layout of the place makes hanging out very comfortable. The place was clean and bright. We had no trouble with the Internet, nor was there noise from the bar below (we stayed on a Thursday and Friday).
We will definitely be back and will hope this apartment is available as we felt immediately it was our place in this city.
If you stay here, we highly recommend breakfast at The Bakkers Winkel as a way to feel instantly inside the character of the city. If you go left out of the apartment, a long block to the end of Breedstraat, then a short right and immediate left one more block (over the canal) it is right on the corner. Be sure to sit downstairs, at the canal level.
Esther's place proved a ten minute walk for us from the train station. But be certain to exit the station all the way through the malls or you will struggle to get on the path to it. Follow signs in the mall to the Vredenberg exit and follow the map easily from there.
One other note to rookie travelers in this part of the world: the red light district can be a bit of a surprise. In this area the business seems contained to one alley which intersects Breedstraat in the middle. No reason to walk down it unless you are curious (or lost, as we were).
Esther is the perfect host in the perfect place. I've felt like staying at a friend's! Communcation beforehand was easy and uncomplicated. The appartment was clean, well arranged and you could easily say Esther's spent a lot of effort and thoughts to make her guests feel comfortable at her place. We were totally speechless when we found out that she had even put essential foods, beer and wine in the fridge, and spare toothpaste in the bathroom! We had nice talks with Esther during our stay. The appartment itself is perfectly located right in the city centre. There's ony drawback to that though: there's a pub underneath the place so at the weekend, it's a bit noisy at night, and because there are too many Wifis in the area the one in the flat is a bit unstable. But these are things Esther can't do anything about, if she could I bet she would. All in all, our stay was totally pleasant. When I go back to Utrecht, I certainly won't stay anywhere but at Esther's, if she'll have me/us again :-)

Very nice apartment really near the ancient heart of Utrecht, Esther is really kind and helpful host. I really recommend this place!!!
Nice spacious living/kitchen area, so this was great for us to cook and socialise in. Plenty of utensils/pots etc and a great oven.
Lots of light in the apartment too, and we thought the location was great, quiet yet central.
Bedrooms are quite small but adequate enough. Would have used the roof terrace if it was summer, but the view was really nice from the bedroom.
We had a great time staying in Utrecht and would definitely book this apartment again
This was a perfect place to stay on my first visit to Utrecht. It's an easy walk from the central train station and the main part of town. Esther was a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment was clean and comfortably furnished. I would certainly stay again.
