Two new "Trax" stations are nearly completed and are even closer than the one mentioned above. There is a high-speed train called 'Front Runner' which goes to Ogden, UT. Two UTA bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk on very level sidewalks.
Our home is located 1.5 miles from the I-15 interstate freeway with an on/off ramp for all directions. This is the main freeway going north and south through the entire state. It links up with our 'belt' route which will take you to the airport in a snap, or to the ski resorts in 20-25 minutes.
We will be glad to offer suggestions, directions, brochures, etc., on the wide variety of places to go and things to do around the Wasatch front. We have lived in the Salt Lake Valley since 1993 and are VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE of the many, many
fun venues and the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
We are very kid and pet friendly! Pets are welcome on a pre-approval basis - we have one very rare Albino Siamese cat named Mowie (very well trained!) and a 6.33 lb. Shorkie (Shih Tzu - Yorkshire Terrier) named Brutus - yeah pretty funny right?. Our dog does not shed and is considered hypoallergenic, and our cat is a short-haired variety and also considered to be hypoallergenic.
Kitchen area for eating your meals if you'd like and we often invite our guests to join us for meals (and we are not offended if you decline). Guests are free to help themselves anytime to the Baker's rack items which is always pre-stocked with various breakfast items, various treats, electric water kettle for herb tea's, hot chocolate, etc. The use of the kitchen appliances, i.e. stove, fridge, microwave, toaster oven needs to be pre-approved.

The listing, actually, stay was exactly as listed. Carrie and her daughter were great. The location was perfect for our needs. We did not have much time to socialize but the little we did have they were very helpful and introduced us to a nice Japanese restaurant in town.
Carrie was a great host! Her home was very comfortable and cozy, she was super responsive to my last minute reservation and she was very accomodating with our late night arrival. She and her daughter were also very friendly and hospitable, even letting my friend borrow a rad ski jacket when he didn't have one. We felt right at home.
We had a great stay with Carrie. She welcomed us into her home, the room was nice and her cats and dogs played kind hosts as well. Carrie is quite generous with snack and breakfast goodies. The location make it a quick drive up to Snowbird.
Cute neighborhood, cute house, cute family. The house was very clean. Hotel room comforters and carpets give me the heebie-jeebies, but I felt completely comfortable at Carrie's, even with animals in the house.
The room was very private, inviting, comfortable, and quiet. There are little signs everywhere to help you know what to do. Everything was exactly as described.
Great place to stay for the price. Especially the location is terrific - plenty of grocery stores, restaurants nearby and under 30 min to alta/snowbird. The room is nice, cozy and clean, and I cannot complain about the airbed or the sleeper sofa for the price. It is perhaps best suited for a single person or a couple. The private bathroom is great. Carrie is a warm and welcoming host, and I wouldn't mind coming back.
Carrie was very helpful in adjusting for our arrival time, and kept in communication as we found our way. A lovely home, a lovely space, and a lovely breakfast. The only challenge for us old folks was having a few stairs to drag our suitcases up and down.
