Hi, thanks for reading our ad.
This is our awesome walk-up apartment. It's a studio, but it's 1,000 sq/ft so it's really spacious. We have a decent sized bathroom, a comfortable queen bed and a nice porch. Our real leather couch easily sleeps a third but we also have queen and twin sized air mattresses if need be. Our wall of windows faces west and so does our porch, they are both great for some afternoon sun/people watching.
While you enjoy your stay feel free to use our wifi, 42" flat screen TV, full kitchen, pots and pans, or microwave. We also have a ton of restaurant recommendations depending on your taste.
Our location is great we're 2 minutes from I-5, right on Vancouver ave. one of the most biked streets in America. (we have covered bike parking on the ground floor) We are around the corner from a high school and a community college. After work and on the weekends we frequently take walks to Alberta Street (17 min), N. Williams (10min.) and the Historic Mississippi District (18min). The 44, and 72 bus stops on our block; we are also straight shot, 10 minute walk from the Yellow MAX station.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask we will try to get back to you ASAP. Thanks for looking at our place, we can't wait to hear from you!
We stayed at Stevens during a roadtrip through the Pacific Northwest and it was a great base for exploring Portland. We stayed there It was super easy to find, in a great location, and had very easy street parking. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and had everything you would need while traveling: towels, toiletries, wifi, and a balcony perfect to share a beer on a hot summer afternoon. It was also very close to the "Florida Room" which had the best gin cooler for a summer day. While we were there we rented bikes and we found that everything was fairly close( the Alberta district, the river esplanade, downtown, new seasons market).
Steven was also a great host. During our stay my sister made a surprise visit from Seattle and needed a place to stay the night and Steven was very accommodating, letting us use his airbed.
Overall a great experience.
Steven was nice and easy to work with. His apartment was in a convenience location, pub and convenience store were nearby. It's also very close to major bus lines, and it's about 30 minutes bus ride to downtown. If you drive, you will find easy street parking. People from the neighborhood were nice and helpful.
The apartment was at the intersection of two major streets, thus, the buses sound could be a little noisy in the morning if you have windows open, however, if you are from big city, those noise won't be a problem.
We had a pleasant stay at Steven's apartment, and I would recommend it.
Great central space in Northeast! We had a great long weekend, at this super spacious and clean studio. We felt like Portland locals and were able to provide a great space for friends to drop by and enjoy the patio. Enjoyed fruit and tea left on the counter, super soft towels, and a very comfortable bed. Wifi worked great, and Steven was available to answer any questions that arose. Super sweet spot.
Steven was there to greet us and very nice. His location was organized, but could have been wiped down more. We had a pleasant stay. The location is 30-45 min away from the city center by public transportation, so I considered it quite far without a car. This is my fault for not researching it more thoroughly, though.
All-in-all, the stay was fine.
My boyfriend and I stayed in Steven's walk-up during our first trip to Portland. It was also our first experience using Airbnb. We could not have asked for a better experience for either! Steven was prompt and friendly in replying to our request to book for the dates we needed. When we got to the apartment, he had a plate of fresh fruit and an awesome selection of tea waiting for us. The walk-up is spacious and roomy, lots of windows and light coming in- it's beautiful. And located perfectly: in a quiet neighborhood, close to every bus stop you could need- with the Alberta Arts district a short, pretty walk or a short easy bus ride away.
We stayed for five days- and on the last day we had some confusion with our ride to the airport and needed to move our check-out time back a few hours. We called Steven, and again, he was so friendly and accommodating. We were still there when he got back, and he was friendly and welcoming, even though we were there past our new check-out time!
It was a perfect experience. And we have Steven to thank for how well our whole trip went.
