Eriko’s email/txt/phone communications prior to ones arrival is 2nd to none. She opens the lines of communications to ensure transition goes as smooth as possible. I commend her for her professionalism during the exchange process to studio.
This property is located walking distance to everything Honolulu has to offer. The studio is a can’t beat price for this location. I recommend (The Bus), bus routes are also easily accessible within a couple of blocks and take you anywhere on the island for the very cheap price of $2.75. I can say my overall experience was well worth for the price paid with only one concern for future occupants.
Recommendation: This issue has been brought to Eriko attention by past occupants. All carpets/rugs need to be replaced for future occupants. As I stated the overall experience was worth the stay. Such a nice little place provided for a great price!!! As for the rugs/carpets; if replaced the room would be perfect!!!
Guest: Meredith “My only complaint about the studio is that the carpet could stand a good cleaning;”
Guest: Nu “carpet is a bit old and should be removed”
Guest:Paul “We were disappointed to see how small room was and how heavily soiled and dirty room to room carpet was. We were not able to go barefoot on the carpet."
Guest: Albert ”Had a decent time staying here. Like the other reviews have stated, the floor was a bit on the dirty side which was basically resolved by keeping our slippers on prettying at all times”
Nice budget option.
We just can say "Thank you Eriko!" Honestly the studio was more than expected: perfect location, all the amenities included (kitchen, microwave, air condition, clean, an incredible bed, tv, ....) Moreover the views from the studio are very nice, the canal (very near located) is really beautiful and you can also see the sea! If I visit again Oahu, I would like to have the opportunity to stay in this studio :)
I enjoyed my stay in Eriko's studio. The studio is small, cozy and charming, with all amenities including a/c. Road noise from outside leaks in so I would not call this a quiet neighbourhood but there are restaurants within walking distance and the staff at the front desk are very helpful. It's located in a hotel/condominium complex called the Hawaiian Monarch, at the city end of Waikiki, and within walking distance of the flashy main drag of Waikiki, with a path to the beach and grocery stores nearby--a very useful location. It's a short bus-ride into Honolulu proper--the city, if you need to be in close proximity, and almost next door to the new Conference Centre. I cannot make the same comments about the cleanliness of the studio as I have seen in some other reviews because for the most part I thought the studio was clean enough, and the internet did not let me down. The key card is very sensitive and I had to have it reprogrammed several times, so keep the key card in a pocket away from other ccs and hand-held mobile devices. Eriko herself was kind and enthusiastic about her neighbourhood and although I didn't, I knew I could if I needed to call her any time. GETTING THERE: take the shared commuter shuttle to Hawaiian Monarch and Eriko will meet you in the Lobby with keys and instructions. After hours, the taxi cost me about $45.00.
thanks to Eriko, she is a nice host ... she will give you a great tips about the island.
The location is near from everything less than 5 min walking to waikiki beach
Had a decent time staying here. Like the other reviews have stated, the floor was a bit on the dirty side which was basically resolved by keeping our slippers on prettying at all times. We could at times smell cigarette smoke coming from other (website hidden) is a window unit that did the job but was a bit noisy. Distance to the beach was more closer to a 10-15 minute walk which we didn't mind (took us a little while to find the shortest route which is to walk through the military/security center park). Smart car rental just downstairs which was nice. For the price, it was worth it. Eriko was very nice and accommodating to our schedule. However, we would consider a place closer to Waikiki beach on our next visit.
This property is in a great location, and the studio is a great price for this popular resort and tourist area. The studio is walking distance to the convention center as well as the beaches, shopping, and dining of Waikiki. A number of bus routes are also easily accessible within a couple of blocks (for things like Pearl Harbor or the airport).
My only complaint about the studio is that the carpet could stand a good cleaning; but the bathroom and linens were clean, and it was great to have a mini fridge and AC available. I also loved being able to open the window for fresh air, and the view from the room (over the canal and of Diamond Head Crater) was lovely.
Eriko was kind and responded promptly to our inquiries. I would stay again in the future.
Everything was like I expected. Good apartment, good location, and Eriko is great, she helped us a lot with anything that we needed.
The only downside is the parking. It cost us $20/day. There were 2 days that we found street parking, but it was far and it's very hard to find.
But in general, I recommend for sure.
Our stay in Waikiki was fabulous. The room is a perfect size for two to stay. It includes a small kitchenette area with burners, microwave, toaster, tea kettle, and some pans. This was really nice to be able to eat in a meal or two to save some cash.
The location is great, easy walk to anything Waikiki and prime spot to catch a cab out of the area.
When we arrived, Eriko met us immediately in font of the building and checkin was a breeze. She was very helpful with all of our questions and let us know that we could contact her if anything came up during our stay.
The view from the unit was great. You get a straight on view of the canal which hosts daily outrigger canoers. You can actually catch a glimpse of the ocean as well, but I wouldn't consider it an ocean view.
We definitely enjoyed our stay!
