The Space

Would you like to jog in Central Park each morning?
Or walk along Museum Mile to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of the city of New York, The Conservatory Gardens or El Museo del Barrio?

There is a sunny, spacious fully-furnished bedroom waiting for you in a 3-bedroom penthouse apartment steps from Central Park.

Situated in a low rise condominium with video intercom, marble floor lobby, hardwood floors and marble throughout, this building also has an elevator/fitness center /roof deck and laundry facility.

This is not a railroad apartment without windows;
there are lots of windows with storage space designed by California Closets.

The room has a double bed, flat screen television with cable, I- phone and I-pod charger and wireless internet included; there is also an air condition unit in the common area.

  • As a first time AirBNB guest, the experience provided by Roxanne from first contact through departure was smooth and delightful. The room and bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning was particularly helpful to make the room a relaxing retreat on warm summer days. I particularly enjoyed being in the North East corner of central park, which made it possible to explore new parts of the park, and the city that I would not have, staying elsewhere. Proximity to the Guggenheim and the Met made it easy for me to visit these museums, which I had not been to before. During my stay I got to experience an East Harlem block party, where the neighbors closed of a street to barbecue, socialize, splash in the spray of a fire hydrant, and dance to some great DJ music. This is exactly the type of authentic, off-the-beaten path, memorable experience that AirBNB makes possible. I highly recommend this pick!

  • Our first airbnb experience did not disappoint! Roxanne was a wonderful host and had a lovely set of apartments in the Harlem district of NY. The room was as advertised, very comfortable, with a TV and good air conditioning. We communicated a fair bit with Roxanne beforehand and she was always quick to respond with any advice she had to offer. We definitely recommend Roxanne's apartments to any future airbnb'ers!

  • Staying at Roxannes apartment was really nice. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt like home. Roxanne is also a great host! Very friendly and helpful. The location of the apartment is amazing. Everything you need is so close to the apartment - bus stop, metro station, supermarket and of course the Central Park. We would stay at Roxannes apartment again! Thank you Roxanne!

  • We stayed in Roxanne lovely apartment for 10 days and loved it! We arrived in New York late in the evening and Roxanne greeted us with a warm welcome. Our bed was really comfortable and the room and apartment was really clean. Fresh cleaned towels were provided every few days, which we did not expect but appreciated very much. Roxanne gave us some very helpful tips as first timer in New York, with brochures and maps as well! This is our first AirBnb experience and Roxanne has definitely setup a very high standard. If we do go back to New York, we will definitely stay with Roxanne again.

  • Roxanne was the epitome of graciousness! Her knowledge of the area seemed endless and her willingness to accommodate us exceeded any host we have had so far.

    The room was a little small for a couple but very nicely appointed and very clean.

    The fact it was located just blocks from Central Park and the Metro made it that much more convenient.

    We strongly recommend this listing and of course, its wonderful host Roxanne.

  • My friend and I spent one night at the property. The place was extremely tidy (even the bathroom), which I care about the most. We had everything we needed! TV, wifi, an extra umbrella, a blow dryer, iPhone chargers, towels and the kitchen is full of different kinds of tea, coffee and snacks. Roxanne is very sweet. I'm very happy that the deal turned out to be a great one.

About
I am a native New Yorker, former luxury hotel concierge, flaneuse and bonne vivante. I like foreign films, dark chocolate, fine tea, espresso, the theatre, live music and outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing and biking. I am also a Bikram yogi. From museums, restaurants, shopping to where to get a reflexology massage at midnight, I am happy to show you my city and to offer a comfortable and tranquil stay in my home. I have lived in Spain, France, Helsinki and Milan. I speak English, Italian and French with a knowledge of Spanish. Some of my favorite places in the world are the Seychelles, Sardinia, Italy and the countryside in the northeast of America. 5 things that I cannot live without are good books, music, my juicer, good quality tea and a feather down pillow. My style of travel is where authenticity meets luxury. My style of hosting is to meet and greet you warmly. Answering any questions you have about the apartment and the city; then advising you in the right direction, arming you with a map, IN Where NY magazines that are chock full of information and wishing you the best with your set of keys in hand and the freedom to choose your path in this great Big Apple! P.S. Pretty please do not request a booking more than two months ahead (as I may not be available and do not wish to cancel anyone's trip unexpectedly.) Also please reply with a profile photo, a bit about yourself and why you are visiting New York.
