Trendy Apartment in the most desirable neighborhood in Amsterdam. The Nine streets district is "the secret" local neighborhood. These picturesque streets straddle the 17th Century canals from the Singel to the Prinsengracht. Spend a fabulous day wandering from one to the next exploring designer boutiques, vintage shops, art galleries, jewelers, gift shops, fashion shops and specialist businesses. There are plenty of great bars, cafes and restaurants in the area.
You will find the apartment on the second floor of a three story building. Recently renovated and designed with a trend + comfort style in mind. Hard wooden floors and a French balcony overlooking the street, to enjoy a coffee in the morning. Free Wifi, cable television, flatscreen and fully equipped kitchen. The 2 room apartment can room up to 4 persons in two double beds (hotel quality). The second double bed can be hidden away easily during the day, when you desire, turning the second room into a cozy living room.
Supermarket, bakery and pharmacist are just one block away. Just a 5 minutes walk from Amsterdams top attractions like the Royal Palace in the Dam Square, the Anne Frank House and Amsterdam’s flower market. The central train station is just 3 stops away by tram.
It doesn’t get more central than this!
The apartment is available for short-term/weekend/week/month rent on minimum of 2 days basis for 2 persons. However, if the apartment is free, 1 night will be considered.
Special requests – such as daily maid service, grocery shopping, and a baby bed – can be accommodated for an extra fee.
The apartment hosts speaks Dutch, English, French and Spanish.
See you soon in A'Dam!
Note: This is strictly a non-smoking unit.
No pets and no smoking please :)
Frans, Marlene husband welcomed us at the apartment, nicely and accurately answered all of our questions about the destination and explained in detailed what we needed to know about the apartment. The apartment was centrally located to trams, attractions and within walking distance to museums, restaurants and coffee shops. Unfortunately my friend got sick and thankfully Frans had provided instructions for house doctors which was a trip saver. I would stay again in Trendy apartment anytime.
Marleen was great and welcomed us to the apartment which was very clean and perfectly positioned in one of the best parts of Amsterdam.
Please note there is no oven or washing machine in this apartment and even though it 'sleeps' four it would be a little cramped for four adults as the pull down bed is in the living room. The stairs to this 2nd floor unit are very steep and narrow and can be a struggle with heavy luggage. A few noises from pub patrons can be also heard at night but nothing that would keep you awake.
All in all, a great apartment in a superb location that is perfect for a couple (or a couple with small kids).
The apartment is good located among cafes, restaurants, interesting shops and galleries. The apartment was clean with all you need for your stay. Unfortunately we didn't met Marleen and her has end in person but they organized everything and sent me a long list of restaurants they like to eat at. Thank you guys and hope to see you someday.
Appartement Trés sympa et trés bien situé. Déco moderne .Nous avons été trés bien accueilli .
Une boutique juste en face de l'appartement vend toutes les places de musée ,balade sur les canaux ....
Marleen was very responsive to pre-visit communication and gave us detailed information to help find the apartment. Her husband met us and showed us around the apartment, answering all of our questions. The apartment is two flights of typical European stairs up.
If you want to be right in the heart of things, the location is perfect. Many of the popular attractions are no more than a 20 minute walk. There is a bar, restaurant, coffee shop and grocery store (Marqt) all on the block.
The kitchen is limited to a microwave and cooktop, but we were still able to have several meals in the apartment. However, I must say the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
For anyone who wants to enjoy the city, including local nightlife that goes on into the late evening, this is a great place for you.
The flat is nice furnished and located very central. We met the host once, so the contact was very limited, Even when I tried to ask something via a text Message there came no answer back which was a little bite annoying. The shower in the flat looks great but don't wait for hot water. Anyhow it would have been nice to get more instructions about the flat how things worked there e.g. ventilation in the bathroom, TV, rubbish. The area is very noisy at night, especially there is a pub in front of the flat. From Thursday till Sunday there is party from 6p.m to 6 a.m. So don't forget your earplugs to take with you.
Marleen's is a great place located right in the heart of Amsterdam which makes it incredibly simple to walk just about anywhere or get to a transit line that can take you the other places that aren't within walking distance. She was super easy to communicate with and while we never met her, Frans met us at the apartment, let us in and gave us the lay of the land.
It's a little small (albeit that's Amsterdam living in a nutshell) so it's probably not the best place to hang out with more than a friend or two as it may start to feel a bit cramped but that shouldn't be an issue as there are tons of bars and little cafes all around. If you're looking for a good home base to explore the city from, this place would definitely be on my list.

About the Host, Marleen
Hi I'm Marleen, originally from a beautiful island called Curacao in the Caribbean. I moved to Amsterdam 15 yerars ago and I love it! I'm an entrepreneur, and love travelling and good food or drinks to share with my friends and family!
I have carefully selected this appartment, in my favorite shopping neighbourhood of Amsterdam and completely refurbished and re-designed it myself.
I hope you feel at home!
