Lovely 2 story condominium with all the comforts of home. Large Ukrainian Village home with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths including a jacuzzi bath tub and free in-unit laundry. Very secure, beautiful street close to many bars, restaurants, shopping, groceries, highways and public transportation. A very short trip to Michigan Avenue shopping and Loop. Condo has hardwood floors on first level and unique granite flooring on lower level. The brick walls and custom wall faux finishings give the first floor a loft like feel. It has wireless internet, Cable with a large flat screen, Stereo wired throughout, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a beautiful, fully landscaped and fenced back yard area with a fountain, a grill and seating. The unit is professionally decorated and has a very comfortable & hip vibe to it. Pets are always welcome. A perfect place for a great Chicago vacation or working trip.
All areas of home and backyard, including grill and patio furniture.
Interaction with Guests
It totally depends on each guest. I sometimes have no interaction if that's what guests prefer or I am available 24/7 as needed - just come upstairs and knock on my door. :)
There are 4 very convenient bus lines from the house and the train is just a short bus ride/taxi/15 minute walk away.
Other Things to Note
Towels are provided, but I ask that each guest bring their own toiletries.
Please remember to leave keys and clean up after yourself. Pets are always welcome.
Jennifer's condo is very nice and me and my friends enjoyed our stay in downtown Chicago. As was mentioned, it's near quite a bit especially the United Center, which I'll have to note next time. Also, there were notes around the house with necessary information on what the item/area was and/or how to use it. The accommodations were one of the best I've experienced on Airbnb. Thank you for offering your home to me and my friends.
Awesome apartment, everything was fine. Jennifer, we`ld love to come back and stay at your apartment. Everything was clean and it`s near to the United center. All the best for You, Jennifer.
Where shall I begin this review. Jennifer Pops is a gracious and kind host. My sister/friend had the opportunity to visit and we felt welcomed and at home.
The condo is breathtakingly beautiful, with nice bright hues of color. The condo is a wonderful place to be and is centrally located. The neighborhood is convenient to attractions and it is safe.
Jennifer was fantastic, and so was her place! It's definitely an eclectic mix of elements, but all comes together to create a cozy home. The bed in the main room is very comfortable (queen size), and there's a lot of extra things around the house to help if you're there for an extended stay (everything from random condiments to extra grocery bags and other little tidbits.) It's about a 3 block walk from the grocery store, and maybe 5 or 6 blocks to one of my favorite Chicago restaurants/watering holes: Roots. The only downside to this particular location is that it's not very convenient to the El. But, the bus picks up on Chicago Ave frequently, and Uber rides are very inexpensive in this city. I'd happily stay here again.
Jennifer was an excellent host! This apartment is warm and inviting, with a great location. We couldn't have asked for anything better. The month we stayed here was great.
Jennifer greeted us at the door and made sure everything was in place. This cozy condo was clean and looks like the pictures on the listing. The downstairs and outside areas were comfortable. Jennifer left some kindling wood for the outdoor firepit which came in handy on a cold night.
Lovely stylish ground level apartment, very close to everything, perfect for a quick trip. Hostess was upstairs and helped immediately with a brief wireless problem, and even gave us a lovely bottle of wine. Thank you!
I'm from Chicago, IL and I work in medical device sales. I love music, film, animals and travel. I'm pretty laid back and enjoy just hanging out with some wine and good friends. I JUST (yesterday) accepted a job offer in San Francisco (city I love) which is why I'm looking for temporary housing until I can find an apartment to rent. I think that's it! :)
I suppose I should now add that I loved using Airbnb so much, that I have put my beloved home in Chicago up for rent on this sight. So far I have had the pleasure to meet some really nice, cool & interesting people who enjoy staying at my old home as much as I did!! Safe travels everyone. :)
