  • I absolutely loved Rachel's place, it's clean, cute, relaxing and is very conveniently located (close to restaurants, shops, bars, subway). Rachel made me felt very comfortable, I felt like we were roommates instead of a temporary house guest. She is an awesome host with tons of recommendations. Rachel, next time when I visit the East Coast again, lets grab brunch!

  • Rachel was an AMAZING host.
The apartment was absolutely spotless, very clean and tidy. Rachel was very welcoming and her little dog was adorable too.
The room is huge and tastefully decorated and the bed was super comfy.
Location was perfect - minutes away from Union Square station with good links to Manhattan.

I had a brilliant time staying with Rachel and would thoroughly recommend staying with her.

Only one downside was the wifi was a tad sketchy in the room, but apart from that everything was perfect.

  • Rachel was amazing. She was a great host. she helped out with everything and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She never intruded but at the same time was a lot of fun to talk to and chat with. We shared a passion for music, film and Brooklyn which made our conversations a little more than just casual chit chat. I would definitely stay at Rachel's again anytime I decide to stop over in New York. Of course all this is beside the fact that her place is situated in the heart of park slope, which is charming, fun and close to everything and the room itself is very cosy and relaxing in terms of space, decoration and overall vibe.

  • A thoroughly pleasurable stay. The mattress (pictured) is very deep and comfortable, and the excellently furnished room meant that it felt like a boutique hotel. Rachel gave me space throughout - the room is essentially private. The apartment was clean and odour-free. Some noise from the street but this is hardly unusual for Brooklyn, and the apartment is two floors up.

  • Rachel's place is beautifully and artfully decorated, and completely comfortable. I felt like I was in a '20s boudoir. It's also very centrally located, with all you could want from Park Slope just outside the door. Also close to Prospect Park, BAM, and other neighborhoods. And a block to the subway. Rachel is great, and Zoe is adorable. I rarely saw them, however, since the guest room is completely private. I will definitely stay here again!

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Rachel. She was very responsive and was able to confirm availability despite by last minute request and the room was beautiful. The location is really convenient and accessible in Park Slope - it was perfect for my stay. I look forward to returning on a future trip!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Rachel's lovely and charming apartment! It's a very happy and relaxing place to be, and is just as she described. She has an adorable little dog, and the apartment is very clean and tidy. Rachel is absolutely delightful! She is warm, generous, helpful, and entirely fun to spend time with. The apartment is located in a wonderful part of Brooklyn. Minutes away from just about anything you want or need.

  • Rachael is friendly and warm. the apartment is cute and filled with art and a sense of style.

a few suggestions, however. this space would be better advertised for a single person rather than a couple. there is an air mattress and a single bed mattress. we did not know to plug in the air mattress each day and air it up, and it really went down the second night.

Rachel is a smoker - which should be shared - the smell was very strong in the bathroom in the early morning.

Also, the bathroom mat was wet when we went in - after we had to wait for several minutes..........

It would be better if there were better lighting - hard to see to get dressed and put on make up.

  • My experience in the so-called "sanctuary Stunning Park Slope" was very unpleasant and started when Rachel warned me about one of the two building front doors, that is very hard to open.
Before entering the apartment I was instructed to take off my shoes and leave them on the hall as it wasn’t advisable to leave them inside the house: the dog’s host could damage them. Upon entering I noticed a gloomy atmosphere and later understood why: the lighting was very poor, very different from what was advertised. Later I realized that the internet connection is also very bad (it's slow and signal changes in different parts of the house) and barely had room to put food in the fridge. The kitchen is ugly and, like other parts of the house, full of objects.
The guest room is on the front of a living room that had been divided by a wooden partition. The queen air mattress that I was offered barely fit inside the room. (Look at the picture of the advertisement and try to imagine a double mattress surrounded by the shown furniture).
Rachel asked me if I was satisfied or expected something different. I agreed that I was expecting something different and she gently replied that there would be no problems if I wouldn’t want to stay in her house. We could come to an agreement with Airbnb.
Well, despite our personal agreement - I would leave her home before the scheduled time - she suddenly changed her mind and said she would no longer accept the deal. Why? “That’s business.”, she answered.
