People usually feel very cozy in my home. A mix of artsy and earthy.
The neighborhood, Gowanus, is right in the middle of 4 very popular and well known neighborhoods; Parkslope, Carroll Gardens, Fort Greene and Sunset Park. Filled to the brim with restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Prospect park, the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Garden are a 15 minute walking distance from the apartment. Hipsters mixed with new and old families. Watch out for the baby carriages! Especially on Sundays.
The apartment is a block away from the R subway train, approx 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan. One stop on the R train will take you to Atlantic Ave/Barclay Center, a major subway hub. Street parking outside the building and garage parking closer to 7ave. There are also buses. I will make maps available for both subways and buses.
Guests have full use of the living room and kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
If you're renting the entire apartment for your stay, I of course, won't be there. I'm always accessible via phone, text or email.
I love that my neighborhood is in the middle of Everything! There's even a brand new Wholefoods 5 blocks away.
If arriving from JFK-
You can take a cab, which would be quicker but the most expensive. It would take about 45 minutes depending on traffic.
There's also public transportation, you will need to buy a Metrocard at the airport.
Take JFK Airtrain to the A train going to Brooklyn, get off at Jay Street/MetroTech.
Take the R train to Brooklyn and get (email hidden).
My apartment will be a block away from the station.
1 hour 40 minutes, approximate, travel time.
While you're here-
The R subway train is one block away from the apartment. The buses are pretty reliable and run very frequently. A great way to see the city without wearing out your shoes.
Other Things to Note
As you see the pictures of my home has lots of plants. Depending on how long you're staying you may be asked to water them. Just a heads up.
-Smoking outside only.
-Please eat in the kitchen. There are no pests in the apartment and I'd like to keep it that way.
-No extra people, maximum 3.
-Remove shoes when entering apartment. Not a control issue, just keeps the outside...outside.
-Expect a quick walk through before you checkout.
-Most importantly, enjoy your stay!
Somethings have been moved and removed since the pic. Kept it to give a clear layout of the apartment.
