House&Bike tra Colosseo e Caracalla

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via Tracia, Rome, Lazio 00183, Italy

In a central and very quit neighbourhood along the roman wall, a simple and warm flat with an ecological inspiration

The Space

This is not a classical Ikea house but a mix of gran mother’s style and our ideas. The granmother’s furniture have been re-used and mixed to something modern. It is a transition were we try to seek a bit of ecology despite being at the heart of the metropolis.
The location is great. Along the roman wall, few minutes walking from the Colosseum, the baths of Caracalla and San Giovanni’s Cathedral. The size of the house is 90mq with 3 rooms, the kitchen and the bathroom. The flat can host up to 6 persons.
Guests will be welcomed with 2 bikes, ecological soaps, fair trade coffee, local olive oil e some food to start breakfast, all rigourosly BIO or zero KM.
Wi-fi connetion and TV are available for guests.
We rent the whole flat or the two rooms separatly.

Guest Access

Guests will find in the house a guest book with information and tips about the city, maps, guides and a bookcrossing corner with books in different languages.

Interaction with Guests

We are available 24H to solve any problem may rise up with during your stay, not only with the flat but during all your stay in Rome.

The Neighborhood

The flat is along the roman walls in a very central neighborhood but at the same time extreely quit. In the area you can find everything you need for an easy stay: supermarket, night shops, fresh food market, farmacy, a couple of bar where you can rest with a good aperitivo, the famous roman restaurant "Romolo e Remo" with its delicious "pajata", a peruvian restaurant with a faboulous "ceviche" and a Internet/phone/money transfer center...everything 2 minutes far from your door.

Getting around

The house is ten minutes walking far from the Colisseum, Maxim Circus and San Giovan Cathedra and related metro stations. Otherwise there are the 628 bus stop in front of the door that take you in the deep center in a few minutes, and few steps further the 81 (the magic bus) that cross all the center to end up to San Peter.
The central station is 6 bus stops far from the house and it it connected with the n. 714.

Other Things to Note

Awesome stay in the flat of Claudia and Carla ! We were welcomed warmly by Claudia and the flat was very spacious and clean (group of 5 people). We had all the necessary advice to locate us within the neighborhood. The flat is very well located (10 minutes from Colosseo on foot).
Special thanks to Claudia who waited for us in the flat at 2am when we arrived from the airport !

  • Apartment was spacious for a family of four. Kitchen well equipped for cooking, a nice market for food shopping right up the street. Carla was there when we needed her, friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient to ancient Rome - walking distance to the Colosseum. Good bus-lines right near the house will get you to everything else. Urban, accessible, low key. Perfect for a one-week visit with two teenage boys.

  • Carla was very welcoming before and during my stay at the apartment. The place was very spacious and nicely equipped for my one week stay in Rome. I especially appreciated having a washing machine to wash my clothes and the big airy windows enabled my clothes to dry in record time. Carla's friend, Angelo was also most helpful to provide an electric stove (I was uncomfortable using a gas stove) and helped me access the other amenities in the apartment. This place is a nice alternative to staying in pricey hotels in Rome. Thanks a lot, Carla and Angelo for your warm and friendly hospitality.

  • We had a great time at this great apartment. Carla met us at the apartment and gave us some great tips on the area. It is very close to Central Rome and is a lovely neighbourhood. We enjoyed our stay with our three children. The apartment has plenty of space and we wished we had stayed longer. Carla was great with her communication at all times.
I would recommend Carla's apartment to you. Thanks Carla.

  • Nice apartment in quiet neighborhood near colosseum. Perfect for a family.

Carla is really nice host. She gave us overview of nearby restaurants & supermarkets and some tips on touring Rome including the sights.
I would recommend this apartment to any family or other group.

  • What a wonderful place!
We visited Rome this August and we're lucky that we chose this apartment. It is not just place to spend the night, where you're afraid to touch anything or where you feel like a stranger. Apartment is warn and cozy, there is a lot of nice things and it's really comfortable.
Everything you need is located very close - supermarket, restaurants, shops. And it's so close to city centre! You can reach the Colosseum in 15 min!
And of course Carla is amazing, very helpful and kind, and we're happy that she was our host.
If you can't choose a place to stay in Rome - here it is :)

  • This apartment is a great place to stay to see the sights of Rome - as others have said it is 10 minutes from the Coliseum and Forum, but in a quiet area. Carla provided maps, ideas and great suggestions for nearby food and entertainment. Lots of room for an apartment for our family of five for our 2 night stay. Overall a great place and a truly enthusiastic host.

  • Carla's flat was clean, full of character, and felt spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 young children. We found everything we needed and really appreciated the breakfast food provided by Carla. We didn't meet Carla, as she was not in Rome when we arrived. However, her friend welcomed us warmly and showed us round the flat on arrival. Carla was responsive in the communication leading up to our stay, and we appreciated the info she left in the flat for guests. Rome was incredibly hot while we were there at the end of July, and air con would have helped our comfort, but we did choose to stay there knowing there was no air con!
Thanks Carla for a great experience.

  • We stayed in July, with temperatures over 90. Window in bedroom loose and difficult to open, no airconditioning and a very poorly functioning fan. Stove difficult to operate. Poor instructions given at time of check in. This apartment comes with little for the price.
