About This Listing
In a central and very quit neighbourhood along the roman wall, a simple and warm flat with an ecological inspiration
This is not a classical Ikea house but a mix of gran mother’s style and our ideas. The granmother’s furnitures have been re-used and mixed with something modern. It is a transition place were we try to seek a bit of ecology despite being at the heart of the metropolis.
The location is great. Along the roman wall, few minutes walking from the Colosseum, the baths of Caracalla and San Giovanni’s Cathedral. The size of the house is 90mq with 3 rooms, the kitchen and the bathroom. The flat can host up to 6 persons.
Guests will be welcomed with 2 bikes, ecological soaps, fair trade coffee and sugar, local olive oil.
Wi-fi connetion and TV are available for guests.
Guests will find in the house a guest book with information and tips about the city, maps, guides and a bookcrossing corner with books in different languages.
Interaction with Guests
We are available 24H to solve any problem may rise up with during your stay, not only with the flat but during all your stay in Rome.
The flat is along the roman walls in a very central neighborhood but at the same time extreely quit. In the area you can find everything you need for an easy stay: supermarket, night shops, fresh food market, farmacy, a couple of bar where you can rest with a good aperitivo, the famous roman restaurant "Romolo e Remo" with its delicious "pajata", a peruvian restaurant with a faboulous "ceviche" and a Internet/phone/money transfer center...everything 2 minutes far from your door.
The house is ten minutes walking far from the Colisseum, Maxim Circus and San Giovan Cathedra and related metro stations. Otherwise there are the 628 bus stop in front of the door that take you in the deep center in a few minutes, and few steps further the 81 (the magic bus) that cross all the center to end up to San Peter.
The central station is 6 bus stops far from the house and it it connected with the n. 714.
Other Things to Note
The hous is currently (february) under renovation. From April on guests will find new kitchen, new shower, new colors, decorations and amenities.
Thanks so much Carla and Enrica !
We had such a good time in Roma. And it s a lot because of you and your good advice. Your flat is so well located so close to the coliseum and to nice little restaurants and coffee places.
We did like to be in a nice neighbourhood.
We walked a lots as everything is so close to eachother in Rome and as soon as we were back to your place we felt like being home which is such a good feeling while you travel.
I do recommend this place as the photos don't lie, it looks exactly the same and for 4 people it's perfect. We were able to have our own space as we had enough place to have dinner and evening together in the livingroom, all of it, in a healthy and clean place.
Thanks again for your e-mails, text messages and your little book in the kitchen which is full of good advice.
We didn't meat Carla, but were met by her friend Enrica who was an excellent host.
This was the perfect place to stay for us. It's far enough away from the city centre to avoid the enormous tour groups that plague the city, but close enough to be within walking distance of everything - we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go in under an hour (about 15 minutes from the front door to the Colosseum, and an hour to the Vatican).
The apartment is spacious and quiet with a newly renovated bathroom. It contains everything you need to make yourself at home - the kitchen is fully stocked if you want to cook. It was also great to have a washing machine which is useful when travelling for extended periods.
If you do stay here we'd strongly recommend the Romolo e Remo ristorante which is about a minute from the apartment - it served some of the best pizza we had while in Rome.
We had 2 nights in the apartment over new years. Great location. 5 minute walk to supermarket, restaurant and pizzeria. Claudia meet us and was very helpful. We need some help with a couple of things and she responded promptly and with good information. Close to bus stops and a 10-15 minute walk to the Coliseum. Recommended.
The reservation was canceled 117 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
