About This Listing
The flat is situated only 300ft from the beach and not even 5 minutes walking from the Monterosso train station.
It's organized with:
1 king size bedroom
1 double bedroom
Also the living room has a pull out couch if needed. (only upon request)
The location is really good, there are plenty of restaurants (Miky's one of the best in Monterosso), bar or pizza places.
Anyway if you're not planning to eat out the only supermaket in this part of Monterosso is right out the building entrance , which makes it really easy.
The apartment is unique as we're in the 5 terre, Monterosso to me is the best out of the five, not too small and really neat with a great view.
We loved our stay at this apartment! Leopoldo's mother let us into the home and was a delight. Lots of great restaurant recommendations in the area as well! The house was clean, quiet, and in a great location. We enjoyed our time there!
Great flat in a wonderful location.
Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived.
Would visit again and can highly recomend it if you are planning to visit Cinque Terre.
Loved our stay here! The apartment was clean and a good location. A little close to the train tracks but as long as you close the shutters the noise was minimal. Leopold's mother let us in and was such a sweetheart! One point that I am not taking away any points for as it's purely subjective, we found the bed to be a little firm for our liking and woke up with stiff backs. Again, just our opinion, we did find the couch extremely comfortable! Would love to stay here again, thanks Leopoldo!
We loved our time at Leopoldo's place in Monterosso. After a very long day of traveling we were thrilled to only have to walk a couple of minutes and found the apartment very easily with Leopoldo's mom waiting for us. She was very helpful and friendly, gave us good advice about local places to eat, helped us feel at home. The apartment was clean and cozy, the location can't be beat. It was a great home base to explore Cinque Terre and we would recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area. We had a great time!!
Leopoldo's father, Paolo, was there to greet us right on time after our train arrived in Monterosso. He was very nice, and explained to us all about the appartment, the supermarket (which is next to the flat, very convenient), the train schedule between the villages, and everything else we needed to know , including reservations for a restaurant we wanted to try out.
If you do not want to deal with 100's of stairs, and a 3 minute walk to and from the train station, then this is the place to be.
This apartment in Monterosso is well is light and quite spacious. Barbara welcomed us with a smile and was very friendly. There is a second room and if you travel with a child, he/she will have his/her own space. There is however very little space to store your clothing if you plan to stay for several days because some of the storage that could be used is locked by the owner.
However, the price asked to rent this apartment is definitely too high in our opinion. Had we known how noisy it was, we would not have rented it.
The problem is that railway tracks are approximately 150 feet (50 m) from the apartment’s windows. In the evening, you have regional and high speed trains going by the apartment building on average every 5 to 7 minutes. Also, the apartment is so close to the train station that, when windows are opened, you hear the messages given to passengers at the train station. Trains which stop at the Montorosso station make even more noise when they put on the brakes.

About the Host, Leopoldo
Hi, I'm an italian guy who love to see new places and discover the world.
I've been in lots of places for my young age but I still haven't seen the far east and the Oceania continent, which is where I'll head soon.
I enjoy traveling mostly during summer so I don't have to bring lots of stuff and I don't have to worry about the weather.
Everytime I speak to somebody on my trips I try to speak the local language and I'm always keen to understand something new, a language too.
