COTTON TREES AND THEIR NEIGHBORS

Algodonales is located in the northern part of the province of Cádiz, at the foot of the Sierra de Líjar and is the northern entrance to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, forming part of the well-known "Route of White Peoples”. It is a popular destination for free-flight sports practitioners and its guitar makers and excellent olive oil are well known.

Its neighbors are friendly people accustomed to welcoming tourists and new neighbors of other nationalities. So you will feel welcomed and well treated by them.

Inside the town you can visit:
•Church of Santa Ana: Baroque style, founded on 6 November 1784,
• Hermitage of the Virginite: Located on the outskirts, it is dedicated to the advocacy of the Virgin of Sorrows. We know of its existence in the mid-nineteenth century in the work of Madoz
• Archaeological site Cerro de la Botinera: The site is located on a small nearby hill. This site belongs to a settlement from the Ibero-Roman era (2nd century BC). C.-II d. C.)
•Fuentes y Lavaderos Públicos (Public Fountains and Laundry Facilities): They were built in the 19th century and are distributed throughout the city centre. Water is a very abundant resource in the locality.
• Non-Motor Flight Zones: The town has several areas for the take-off and landing of paragliders and the like. Even if you do not practice this sport, you should not miss visiting the flight areas as their views are breathtaking and finding the numerous athletes spreading their wings, it is quite a spectacle.
RESTORATION and SHOPPING

If there is something that characterizes this municipality, it is the LIFE it has. It only takes a few tiny rays of sunshine for people to take to Algodonales Street and live around its rectangular square. Here you can find local numbers where you can enjoy a delicious meal at very affordable prices. Most of our tenants are surprised how cheap it is to eat here. Apart from these bars, you can also enjoy a rich meal in the sales that you will find on the road. The shops where you can get bread, fruit, meat, fish or other basic products are also located in the square and surroundings, as well as in its Plaza de Abastos.
