About this listing
Located in the historic district of Eastham, our lovely B&B has the flexibility to offer something for everyone. This spacious B&B is full of light and has the seaside flavor of Cape Cod. We are just steps from the Cape Cod Rail Bike Trail that carries you to either the spectacular beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore or the tranquil beaches of Cape Cod Bay. Soothe yourself in our outside shower to feel refreshed after a hard day at the beach. Lush gardens and a horse paddock adds to the large and lovely landscaped yard. Enjoy our gas fireplace in our luxurious living room on chilly nights. There are two bedrooms, one has a queen size bed and the other room has 2 twin beds. One room can be rented at a discounted price. See our other listing for pricing. For those traveling as either family or friends, the two rooms can be rented as a two room suite with one bathroom. We have a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace, TV, and a high speed wireless Internet service. We also have a very lovable golden retriever named Chesney. He is not allowed in guest rooms but if you leave your door open he may come in for a quick visit and steal your socks:) Summer activities are endless. Whale Watch (April-Oct) or shore whale watch year round. Seals rest on our beaches and frolic in our waters year round. Spring and fall are the best time for birding since the cape is a major fly over for migrating birds. A winter beach walk is amazing especially after a recent snowfall. September is our favorite month to enjoy the cape at its finest. We still have the summer beach weather but the crowds have gone. The air is more crisp and the tranquility after the summer rush is soothing.
Guest may enjoy the entire house except our private upstairs suite. You are welcome to use the microwave and fridge. We are a B&B and our town licence does not permit guests cooking but breakfast is provided.

Many thanks to Nancy and Bob (and Chesney) for making our first experience with Airbnb so awesome! Their lovely home and beautiful gardens are perfectly situated; centrally located on the Outer Cape, midway between the Upper and Lower Cape. The Atlantic and CC National Seashore is within spitting distance to the east, while Cape Cod Bay is a short walk west. The bike trail is literally around the corner and some of the best beaches in the nation are practically across the street.
The house is spacious, spotless, bright and airy. It’s in a quiet, residential neighborhood. The birdsongs were delightful to wake up to and enjoy while sitting on the backyard deck.
Nancy and Bob were delightful hosts who made us feel warmly welcomed but gave us plenty of privacy. Bob provided a super orientation when we arrived and immediately connected with my 17-year old daughter (music) and 20-year old son (sports). Bob and Nancy graciously let us borrow beach gear and kick our soccer ball around their lush backyard.
It was so helpful to have onsite, experienced hosts who really know the area. They patiently answered questions and gave great recommendations. Nancy was the naturalist/guide on our amazing whale watching excursion; she did a wonderful job introducing us to these amazing creatures! Special thanks to Bob for supporting and encouraging Meredith’s novice guitar & vocal skills and to Chesney, the most “chill” dog ever, for showing us how to relax and enjoy our vacation!
We had a memorable visit and highly recommend the Outer Cape Escape B&B!
Nancy is an amazing host with excellent knowledge of the local area. The house was a great place to come to and feel at home and relax in. Nancy and her husband made our stay very welcoming and the rooms themselves were private and beautifully decorated. We fell in love with their dog, Chesney, and have enjoyed reading a book Nancy wrote about their previous dog, Shelby, which gives an insight into the Cape and their lifestyles. The breakfasts were great. My wife now wants a coffee machine just like yours!! I thoroughly recommend The Cape Outer Escape B&B to anyone. It's in a great location for visiting either the south or north parts of the cape, near to some great places to eat, learn surfing, go swimming, soak up the sun on some lovely beaches or hire a bike and go up the various bike trails around the cape.
Nancy and Bob were wonderful hosts. We loved the quite residential area and the accommodations and wished that we could have much stayed longer. The house was so comfortable and welcoming and the kids were very comfortable in their first bed and breakfast experience. Chesney was such an awesome dog and the family got their needed dog fix. Breakfast was perfect and just what we needed. The kids just loved the homemade banana bread. The town is located in a great part of the Cape and is very close to our favor beach First Encounter Beach and close to the ocean side as well. We would highly recommend staying here and would come back again.
Nancy and Bob are great people, enjoyed much staying with them, their house is amazing and well located, I definitively staying with them.
We had the luck having two hosts, who always looked for us so that we can enjoy the staying at that beautiful home. It was decorated with heart and it was very cosy and spacious . We could use the big living room and kitchen , had a bathroom for us and had a great breakfast in the morning . But the best was
We had a lovely time at Nancy and Bob's charming home on the Outer Cape. Both of them are very friendly folks who take the time to mingle and interact with guests--Nancy even recommended that we do a 4th of July fireworks cruise in Provincetown (which we did and thoroughly enjoyed)! The home is very comfortable and spacious, but the real gem of the house is the backyard. Very well maintained and equipped with a grill and picnic tables and even an outdoor shower. Access to things to do was amazing: just down the road is a bike rental place, from where we rented bikes and rode the Cape Cod rail trail (also a stone's throw away from the house). Nearby is a public pond and access to the numerous beaches around is also easy. Overall, a real joy to have stayed here for the July 4th weekend!
We had a great time while staying at Nancy and Bob's place in Eastham. Their two rooms were perfect for my wife and I and our two teenage sons. They're very welcoming and friendly and Nancy provided a light breakfast each day. They also provided some valuable tips about beaches and other activities. Nancy even called me soon after we left to let me know that we were driving into a severe storm and she offered to let us come back to ride it out!
We enjoyed getting to know a little about them and they were always available as needed but at the same time we really felt like we had the place to ourselves. Their big dog is very lovable and entertaining but not at all in the way.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend to a friend.

About the Host, Nancy
Bob and I are high school teachers but have many other interests. Bob is a scuba diving instructor and musician and I am a whale watch naturalist. We live with our sweet and lovable golden retriever Chesney and travel whenever we have time to sneak away. We love the tropics and our favorite place is coastal Mexico. We have traveled the Caribbean as well as Central and South America. Life is good!
