To Live with Ailis and her family is an amazing experience.
She made we felt at home from the moment we arrived.
I couldn't believe how she took care of us. She made that our stay in Dublin were very funny. Public transport is highly accessible from Santry, leading into the city or surrounding Villages.
My husband and I were in her house with our two little girls (6 & 4 Year) and they also felt at home.
I have no words to express how kind was Aillis and her family with us. What I can say is "Count on us for the next summer".
From now you are our Irish Family.
We will miss you.
Outstanding host! My family enjoyed the time we spent with Ailis and her family. It is a lovely neighborhood very close to the bus stops, which makes it easy to get into downtown Dublin. In addition to a wonderful stay, Ailis and her family cooked dinner for us every night, which was a nice gesture after a long day walking around Dublin. If you are traveling to Dublin and want a true Ireland experience with a wonderful family, then I highly recommend staying with Ailis and her family.
Ailis is a kind and welcoming host and it was a pleasure to stay with her and her lovely family. You will feel welcome as a part of the family here. There where several guests during my stay but they where all nice and considerate. Thank you Ailis and family for hosting me, it was a pleasure to meet you all.
I had a really lovely stay at Ailis house. When you want to go out, you will find someone who will join you here and when you need some space for yourself, you have enough space for your privacy also.
Ailis is an excellente host, because when you need something or you need help to find places in Dublin you just need to ask her for a good support.
Thank you for the nice 4 weeks!
My son started university in Dublin as an overseas student and stayed with Ailis until he found a place to live. Ailis's home was was the perfect place for him in an unfamiliar country. He immediately felt safe and cared for, and Ailis was exceptionally kind to him. Apparently Ailis is a great cook (huge commendation from a boy who is always hungry!) and her home is comfortable and welcoming.
I LOVED it in Ailis House. I stayed 3 weeks in her home And I defenitiftly recommend this Family to everybody who likes Beeing One more Family member for a tiny Time :) Ailis will hug you whenever you feel Lost And will help you to sort it Out like the own mum Would do it :) Ailis And her husband wear their Heart on the right Place :)
And even if you prefer to have some Time only for you, you have your own calm room. I was so Lucky to Meet the hole Family with all the grandparents And i felt very welcome right from the Start.
By the Way: ask Ailis for her brillant Irish stew! :D
I will go back to dublin One Time And my First Adress will be, surprise, a Little House somewhere in Santry :D
Ailis offers everything you could hope for in a host. She is friendly, welcoming and very generous. I ccannot recommend her enough.

About the Host, Ailis
we are Ailis & Ian. I am a fairly easy going mother of three. I enjoy reading (when i get the time), going out with my friends and hosting.
The past eight years hosting have been great. We have met so many amazing people who have shared not only our day to day lives but some big events with us. Eating dinner in the evenings with our guests truly gives us a great connection with people who choose to stay with us and become part of our extended family.
Our house is a home and although busy it is always filled with fun.
I am a native English speaker but I am also fluent in Irish so I can teach you some words. I also have a small bit of French, and failing that I'm excellent with an online translator :-)
There are no strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet :)
