Our fun, busy home is the perfect place for those of you who want a home from home feel, while staying in Dublin.
What could be better than knowing there is a home cooked meal waiting after a busy day sight seeing, studying or doing your internship.
Staying with a family is the best way to make the most of your experience.
We are a family of 5. Mum, Dad & 3 children (13, 3 & 4). My husband works and I stay home to look after the children & our guests.
We have a busy fun household & enjoy welcoming guests into our family :) Our guests stay in the house next door to our house. Which gives you as much independent as you like while still spending as much or as little time with us as you want.
Each room has bed, storage, desk and access to Wifi.
We all eat dinner in the evenings together, which is fun and it gives everyone a chance to share their day.
The house has easy access from the airport and the city is a short bus ride away.
So if you want a home from home we will be happy to make your stay with us a comfortable one.
Our guests eat dinner in the evenings with the family in the evenings and are always welcome to share a coffee and a chat.
We are on hand to offer help, advise and direction when needed.
We live on a quite road in a mature suburb of Dublin. Half way between the airport & the city.
We are close to Dublin city university.
There is a medium sized shopping center within walking distance of the house, which has plenty of fast food and other restaurants.
Also there is a lovely park approx 5 mins from the house.
The nearest bus stop is no more than a 5 min walk from the house. The bus will take you directly into the city

I had a really lovely stay at Ailis house. When you want to go out, you will find someone who will join you here and when you need some space for yourself, you have enough space for your privacy also.
Ailis is an excellente host, because when you need something or you need help to find places in Dublin you just need to ask her for a good support.
Thank you for the nice 4 weeks!
My son started university in Dublin as an overseas student and stayed with Ailis until he found a place to live. Ailis's home was was the perfect place for him in an unfamiliar country. He immediately felt safe and cared for, and Ailis was exceptionally kind to him. Apparently Ailis is a great cook (huge commendation from a boy who is always hungry!) and her home is comfortable and welcoming.
I LOVED it in Ailis House. I stayed 3 weeks in her home And I defenitiftly recommend this Family to everybody who likes Beeing One more Family member for a tiny Time :) Ailis will hug you whenever you feel Lost And will help you to sort it Out like the own mum Would do it :) Ailis And her husband wear their Heart on the right Place :)
And even if you prefer to have some Time only for you, you have your own calm room. I was so Lucky to Meet the hole Family with all the grandparents And i felt very welcome right from the Start.
By the Way: ask Ailis for her brillant Irish stew! :D
I will go back to dublin One Time And my First Adress will be, surprise, a Little House somewhere in Santry :D
Ailis offers everything you could hope for in a host. She is friendly, welcoming and very generous. I ccannot recommend her enough.
Ailis and the family were amazing in keeping the home away from home feel alive! After traveling around Latin America I was lucky to have been able to discover this place. It is convenient for access into the city, a near by shopping plaza and to the airport....
Thank you for being so great and looking forward to staying again when I return next.
It was a great experience there. The first person I met in Dublin just outside the airport was Ailis with her shining smile and her poweful verve. She helped me the best she could, cooking for me, giving me tips, trying to understand my awful English and also driving me around when I needed it without forget to give a smile, in the morning as well as at the end of a busy and tiring day :)
I want to let you know Ailis and whole family how I'm grateful for everything you made for me.
No words to explain this incredible family!
See you soon!
I booked a stay with the family for my daughter and 2 friends passing through Dublin on a study abroad program. The correspondence and support I received from Ailis was excellent! My daughter was able to send me a message from the hosts ipad upon her arrival and she simple said. "This is amazing, the family is so nice, thank you."....my daughter and her friends had a lovely stay. The girls spent some time with the family and even received a home cooked breakfast and dinner. What a perfect way to explore life in Dublin. I cannot thank the family enough for taking in my daughter like their own. THANK YOU! <3
