Sara and Mike are those people that you can tell right away that they have big heart. We felt immediately at ease them, had very nice chats over wine and tea. Their place is so nice. It is an old renovated cottage, with all sorts of farm animals outside, our room was very nice, the bath was even nicer, there's all sorts of books around, and their kitchen is amazing. This place is the definition of coziness. We actually considered canceling our other reservations just so we could stay more days with them. This is how nice it is to stay at the Old Mill!
This place is far more fantastic than it looks like! Actually this is the best place I have ever booked on Airbnb. As soon as I came into the house, I was immediately drawn to it: I really appreciate that Sara, the designer and transformer of the house, has kept the traditional and natural taste of the house and decorated it with great care and creativity. The furniture, collection of china, loads of beautiful tea cups and even a piece of napkin are going so well with the house and making it so warm and cute! Most interesting to me was the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of the hosts, which is so different from the life in big cities. They have chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats and lots of other animals, they home-make lots of food like jam and all the plants you see are REAL ---- it is just amazing to see people living so close to the nature ---- at the same time, all the facilities are so modern, like fast WIFI connection, nice shower (which you don't easily get in the countryside of Wales). Furthermore, the host family is absolutely the best! I have lived in many places I booked on Airbnb. Though most hosts are nice, they give you the key to your room and then that's it. The lovely lady Sara greeted us with a glass of wine, introduced us the history of the house, made honey tea for me as I had a very bad soar throat, and she cooked fantastic breakfast. Her husband Mike is such a creative man who invited us to see his magnificent "inside Christmas tree", which is like a camp made of tree branches that allows you to sit "IN" a christmas tree! Our room is huge and it can actually fit 3 people. It is so quite during the night, just like what you expect from the countryside. The only thing I regretted about was that I could not stay longer. This place feels so like home! I am so gonna recommend this place to my friends and I will definitely come back and visit Sara again:)
